I just got my EGM in the mail today, featuring Soul Calibur II on the cover.

I open to page 75, mainly because there's one of those page-sized thick Target ads. Lo and behold, what do I see at the bottom of the page?

Must-hit websites, featuring DP as one of the 3.

Beneath a cropped picture of Missile Command's 2600 box art, there is a small blurb:

"digitpress.com Home of the all-inclusive Digtal Press Collector's Guide (a must have for videogame pack rats), this site offers reviews, quizzes, and other content skewed to the true classic gamer. No PlayStatons allowed."

I smiled and laughed.

Note: I would have scanned it in but my scanner is being somewhat of a bitch at the moment.

No Playstations allowed? Beat. Leave it to EGM.

I just got my copy today too and I completely missed it. Nice exposure though, I'm sure we'll be seing a bunch of new faces soon.

I suppose its good to get the word out, but I just dont want classic gaming to become the new fad...and definitely dont want those NES prices becoming more and more jacked up due to its popularity.

cripes, if everyone and their brother start collecting because it's 'the thing to do', then prices would get crazy on eBay.

But then again, in two years when the 'fad' is over, there will be the biggest dump of classic games ever by contrast.

sorry to go off on a tangent, I tend to see the good and bad in things

Shoot, I hope NES collecting prices go thru the roof. My NES collection is something I wouldn't mind unloading if the price gets high. There's only a couple systems in my inventory that I would absolutely not sell off.

no playstations allowed

That would Rock :rocker: ;)

Yep, same here.

Remember kids, the nice thing about fads is they end eventually and all that stuff has to go somewhere.

When it comes to collectable pop culture, things never get old.
