So I found a copy for sale for $120.00 complete, is this worth it? How much do they usually go for? Sides were kind of beat up but complete is complete I guess.

Complete copies seem to sell for around $200+, depending on condition.

Why is it so expensive? Was it just because of it being a late release like harvest moon and kirby's dreamland 3? It wasn't a blockbuster only release or something right?

It wasn't exclusive and in fact was stocked pretty widely by many retailers as I recall. It was probably more limited than some SNES games because it included a customized chip inside the cartridge that provided some enhanced graphics capabilities. There were certainly tens of thousands of copies released, but like many good Mega Man games, complete copies are in demand by collectors.
