Put it in my 60 gig Ps3 and Starting playing and got my butt handed. Now, I used to be good at these games. But this sucks getting old, So the Question is... Has any of you lost any of your Gaming powers?

Viewpoint is pretty ridiculously hard regardless, even if someone is good at games in general or that specific genre.

How does the difficulty compare to the Genesis version? I own both versions and haven't played the PS1 version in years. I've made it to 4 level in the Genesis one but really haven't committed to beating it.

I wouldn't say I've lost my "gaming powers", but I certainly don't have the attention span I used to when it came to games. When I was 13, I could easily spend 6 hours straight playing a difficult (or even just terrible) game trying to do well in it, these days, I'm lucky if I play for 20 minutes at a time before quitting.

I can remember beating some games the day I bought them. Now they sit in the shrinkwrap for months before I look at them, and when I do play them, it takes me ages to finish them.

Yea, I have a little of that attention span thingy too. I remender beating the hell out of a game , going to bed and closing my eyes and seeing the game flashing across eyes like I was still playing it. Ah... those were the days.@_@

The nice thing about losing your gaming powers is that they're retrainable with a little practice. I recently got Viewpoint for the Neo Geo MVS, and it's just as nasty as the PS1 version. But with some practice I can zoom through the first level like it ain't no thang. Level 2 is still taking some work.

In the first Harvest Moon game night time would last forever as long as you didn't go to bed, and you could go to the hot springs in the forest to restore your vitality. I remember staying up all night abusing this to clear whole farm on the first day in a new play through, and then the sun came up I realized it was time to go to bed both in game and in reality too.

I'm an odd person. I seem to do best at things after not playing them for over a year. Hard to describe, honestly. I'm currently playing shmups better than I've ever been able to, even though I still suck at the genre. Time to start playing Viewpoint.

They're exactly the same, except the Genesis version has more slowdown which may affect difficulty. The Genesis version also has a much better soundtrack, as an aside.
