Animal Crossing Trading Thread!

OK, for those of you who have animal crossing, Tom Nook (Store owner) Allows trading of items through a password system. I've been asked to make a thread and I think it would be a neat sticky post for awhile so we can trade items with each other (Even though I haven't even tried it yet) So post away if you own the game!

It's a great game. I set up a tv in the bedroom so I could play AC while Brian plays Dynasty tacticas but he's been coming in and playing Animal Crossing too.
My #1 tip is DON'T carry all your money around with you! You can seperate it into bags and leave it in your house/basement or even bury it. I've had a few events where talking to a character made me buy something stupid from them and they took all my money.
Also if you don't like a character you can get them to move out fast. I sent Olivia a letter with an old boot (pile of trash) and the next day she was gone.
Right now in my town is Chere (bear, I don't like her), Teddy (bear), Groucho (bear), Mitzi (cat), Chief (fox), Buck (horse), and Rex (lion).
I had a really cute frog named Cousteau but he moved to Brian's town. No fair, because he already had Prince the frog. Grr

Anyway, I'm looking for LOVELY FURNITURE. The pink girly stuff. Brian is looking for stuff to complete his Space theme and Imperial room. We have some good stuff to trade.

Harvest moon festival is 21st for me, is this the same for everyone else?

@Chocobokick: Pink girly furniture, eh? I'll let you know if I find anything...I probably won't be keeping any pink furniture I get. ^_^ If you want Donkey Kong or Tennis, I'll gladly trade for DK Jr. Math or Balloon Fight (I want DK Jr. Math a lot more, though. I have Balloon Fight for my e-Reader AND my actual NES!)

I'll probably be posting a lot more once I actually start making money in this game and get some decent stuff to trade!

One of the wonderful things about the game is that even if you sell something or give it away it still gets put in your catalog so you can buy it later. (some items, like from gulliver are not for sale)

Only thing I got from gulliver so far is the chinese lion and I sold it :) I thought the thing was hideous heheh.

I've played it for probly 4-5 hours. I'm still trying to finish Eternal Darkness (Last chapter). So I don't have THAT much stuff, I REALLY want to get a fishing pole and Bug net right now. I'll have to keep that in mind for kicking people out, I HATE one of the people living in my town, he's a JERK.

JUST got my wife to start playing, she NEVER plays videogames, I'm glad too, would have been a lonely town! :)

anyone know if the custom paterns you can make for clothes and wall paper fur, ect can be traded? I don't have a GBA (yet) and that looks cool. You could make a retro colection with pac men or such on it.

Custom patterns can't be traded I don't think, but you can show a pic of the grid so other people can copy it. You don't need a GBA to make a pattern either. I have a GBA but no link cable yet. All you need 350 bells, and head on over to the tailors. You can design your own pattern and put it on your clothes or umbrella.
Make the Pac man fairly small or it won't look right. Also if you're a girl your hat is cone shaped and that distorts some images. :(

Yes, I'm interested in the axe and fishing pole. I have 2 "aloha" shirts (red & blue) that I got from the GBA island, I can buy a "rare painting" and I could always trade Donkey Kong, I suppose.

bought the game when it came out- as i was in the middle of a few writing assignments, i lent it to a buddy for a day so he could see if he'd be "into it"- he ended up buying it from me after playing for the better part of that day, lol! i snagged another one and started at 12:44 am- has anyone else seen the packages floating with balloons attached to them?

there's an annoying cat who fancies himself a super-hero. i want to kick him out, but another resident (a rooster) is talking about leaving already! we shall see. i just got stung by bees twice! but i did find 500 bells in trees so far, and a soccer ball lying near another tree...good night!

Hey Guys and Gals, I was wondering how exactly we were planning on trading, seems to me we're gonna have to be mailing memory cards back and forth.....Yes the game has a password function, but I think you still have to have both memory cards....I don't think a password I save on my memory card is gonna magically fly through the air to someone elses memory card......

btw, what nes games did everyone get...I got Pinball and Clu Clu Land.

No other memory cards needed :)
You just go to Nook's, pick other things, and say password.
To generate a password you pick hear password.
