Hey guys, I did some searching and found a thread or 2, didn't find the specific info I wanted....so sorry if It's a duplicate.
I'm trying to find info on custom game cases...
Is there a master list of all the cardboard boxed games? I know Majesco re-released a bunch that were made in mexico and have clam shell counterparts....so I'm talking about games ONLY released in cardboard cases...and is there a way to make a high quality custom clam shell case for those games? or is their someone who makes them? I found some websites but most don't seem to of been updated since around like 2008...
There is a guy selling a custom Shining Force 2 clam shell case on ebay for 15 bucks + 15 for shipping. Is that a good price ? Thanks for the heads up guys...I'm mostly looking for these so I can keep my cardboard boxes somewhere safe where they won't get damaged rather than shoved on my game shelves.

As to your question about which games were released in cardboard boxes, SegaAge members put together this site which seems to be pretty extensive: http://cardboard.segaage.com/

Thanks, that does help, but still doesn't answer my main question about games only released in cardboard boxes...the majority of the games on that list are in clamshell cases as well - and one of the reasons I bring this up is because I've only found Shining Force 2 in the cardboard case, yet looking through classic mags, I've found ads for the cardboard boxed version..and there are also ads with a clam shell cased version.

The current list is focused on North America. Mega Bomberman, Shining Force II, and some other games, were different overseas. You must import them for a clamshell.

DUDE! I have just what you're looking for. With the help of some guys at Sega-16 we have compiled a master list of all Genesis games that came in cardboard cases, it's right here: http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthread.php?17920-Replacement-printable-covers-for-cardboard-boxed-games
I have a project on there where I make printable covers for those games and they're available to download for FREE! So whatever you don't buy those cases from the assholes on eBay. And FYI I have a Shining Froce 2 cover already made in that thread. :)
I've also made covers for almost all of the 32X games, right here: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?155076-Printable-Sega-32X-covers!
