Something cool for Vectrex owners

I've been wanting to build an arcade panel for Vectrex for some time, but I haven't quite solved the joystick issue. It's easy enough to mod a digital joystick, but I really want to have analog. My best idea was to use an industrial/wheelchair control, but those are crazy expensive and I'm just not that handy. Some day. Good luck.

What about an old PC stick? There must be some models that could be mounted in a panel.

A PC stick is probably the best option for cheap, although I was hoping it would be something industrial-strength like a regular arcade stick. That whole thing is way down the road, anyway. Too much else to finish first.

I wonder how the power and volume is controlled? Would you have to take it apart to lower or higher volume and could you hear it through the plexiglass?
