I have to wonder what classic games were released there. If you've got any info or a web site I could visit, I'd appreciate it if you would post it here. Thanks!

If you meant AGE, I was there yesterday and it was great. The turnout far exceeded expectations. I think the final count was over 2000 attending. I think they were expecting only 1000 to show but they had double that show up. The show had a nice mix of old and new systems for play, and lots of games for sale. I picked up several loose and boxed 2600 games, and a couple XBox ones for my son. There were lots of arcade games and pinball machines set up for free play. Lots of vendors were present too, and lots of tournaments set up for various systems. They even had a museum set up showing all the video game systems ever made, including some one of a kind items that you may never see again. Next year will probably be bigger and better, and Im sure because of the unexpected large turnout, they will have it in a much larger facility.

We've got a ton of pictures coming... hang in there!

And I DO hope you meant AGE Jess. Because if CGE just came and went then I'm gonna be really pissed that I missed the best weekend of the year!

I worked for part of the show, and enjoyed the rest of the time there.

It was a lot of fun - a lot more people showed than I ever expected. Living north of Austin, it was really close for me to go and help out, and then enjoy the show, but I NEVER anticipated that many people. I think they already know they will need a bigger venue for next year. :)

Everyone was pretty cool, it was interesting to see a mix of old school and modern gamers there. You could definitely tell who was interested in what.

Although there were a lot of vendors there, the selection was kind of limited. There was a large amount of Atari-based items and games for sale, as you would expect (because of the AtariAge.com connections), and there was a lot of modern (GC, PS2, XBOX) stuff for sale as well.

Where I was a little disappointed was the lack of "intermediately-aged" games available (NES, GEN, SNES, 3DO, etc). Not a knock on the show at all - it really was very cool, but some more variety in the games for sale would only improve the inaugural effort.

Anyway, I have plenty of details for those who want them, but I'm a bit tired from yesterday, so I'm done typing for a while.

Peace -
Steve

Agree.....even though I picked up some 2600 goodies, I also was looking for Jaguar and O2 goodies and hardy saw any. Nintendo items were also limited. But after a successful show like this, you can count on more vendors and more items for next year! :D
