This is definitely a title PC gamers can gloat about. Very cool to be getting one of the best "if not the best" current gen console games on PC.

Plus playing this in full resolution maxed out should be killer.

Now if only From Software would remake or bring out the classic King's Field games on PC.

Yay! When I heard about the possibility of this I held off buying the console version. Glad I waited!

Too bad it uses Games for Windows Live.

I won't buy it just for that alone. :(

Why? I have several games that use it and have never had a problem with it. It always sounds like one of those "just because" answers to me.

Regional restrictions, install limits, a messy UI that sometimes gets in the way of the game, a horrible patching system, and saved games that are encrypted and locked to your own PC.

It's on GFWL? Ehhhhh

I think I'll just get it on my 360

I've never understood games on Steam that use GFWL. Why use both? I agree completely about the patching system, that's a complete mess.

I just hope the extra content for the pc version of ds ends up on the console versions as dlc.

Save games that are encrypted to your PC? The save files for this game are already locked down to your system. Why would you want to share saves in the first place? Patches have always gone through quite easily for me as well. IDK it's whatever I will be buying it day one. I am not a negative person when it comes to this stuff. Everyone bitched and complained about it not being on PC then when it is they have to nitpick every fucking thing. Gamers are the spoiled children of media entertainment.

PS not directed at you all the way. It is just a constant stream of complaints about everything that happens in the industry. Nobody seems to kick back and enjoy games anymore.

Games for Windows Live is something that almost NO PC gamer enjoys. The response it gets is second only to Ubisoft's "always on" DRM when it comes to negativity. Some people want to be able to sit back and enjoy games, but these intrusive platforms do not make it easy to do so.

The main problems with GfWL are that it's slow (takes quite some time to sign in, even with a fast internet connection and hard drive speed), it prevents you from being logged into other Live games simultaneously (you can't even play a GfWL game while someone is on your Xbox Live account), and it sometimes fails to log you in (you cannot save games, period, if you cannot log into GfWL). That, in addition to what Kitsune Sniper said. It's just an unwelcome nuisance, in every sense of the word.

You know what bugs me? Doormat consumers that have allowed the industry to become hostile and exploitative by continuing to put up with shitty business practices.

Lemme put it this way.

You have an awesome RPG game save with lots of cool loot. Then your Windows install becomes corrupt due to spyware or other nasty stuff. Guess what? Your save games are now permanently unusable, and there's no way to get them back. Your Level 99 Badass Elf Cook is now permanently gone. Even if you have the same hardware, and you reinstall the OS, it's not the same system anymore due to the new install. PS3 owners have this same issue, but it's worse for them because they have no way to get around this completely unnecessary form of DRM. There are third party tools that let you get around this save lock, but they're not 100% fool proof.

I'm perfectly fine with them locking the save games to your GFWL account. Steam does this with their own "Steam Cloud" feature (but they store copies of your save games online, which are downloaded automatically after you reinstall.) But this is too much.

You know what's funny though? I've been playing Batman Arkham Asylum on the PC for the past few days. I enjoyed the game despite Live. Thing is, I'm okay with GFWL in concept, I just wish it was executed better.

If the game was't locked at 30 FPS I would have bought it.

If they didn't lock the resolution at 720P I would have bought it.

If they didn't use games for windows live, I would have bought it.

But all three of those things? Forget it. I'm just going to wait for the inevitable PS3 version.

Now if only From Software would remake or bring out the classic King's Field games on PC.

Actually, the first KF game(which was only released in Japan) got a PC release together with the Sword of Moonlight: King's Field Game Making Tool software. And there are working translation patches out available.
There is also a community for making King's Field-esque games with this tool at http://www.swordofmoonlight.com (http://www.swordofmoonlight.com/bbs/index.php). :)

The 30 fps is a deal breaker for me. Why the hell would they do that? That's the main advantage the pc games have over console games. It's not even worth releasing if it runs at 30 fps. What a waste.

Good thing that the DLC content will also be available on the PS3 and XBOX 360 later this year :)
