Greetings:

If anyone likes this game half as much as me, then you'll find this interview a nice little read. Nothing major revealed, but there are a few things I learned about Japanese version... like arcades in Tokyo that still have it!

I took it from Sega's "Meisaku Album" which they do on their site every few months. The previous one was with a Phantasy Star designer, so that's next on the list.

Before you get hyped and try to play Gain Ground on MAME, you should know that System24 emulation isn't happening at the moment, and apparantly won't be for a while from what I can tell.

If you'd like to read it, go to http://www.classicgaming.com/japangaming
I put a link on the front page. I'll probably do more things like this and put them in the bonus section eventually.

I just looked at the interview in with Mozilla on my Linux box. Blech -- guess Mozilla doesn't handle CSS AT ALL. I'll have to change that. Sorry to you open source advocates.

Very cool. Thank you for the translation!

Please note, though, that Video-Fenky has already translated (http://www.video-fenky.com/features/kodama/kodama1.html) the Reiko Kodama piece. So, don't waste your time on that one. :)

Thanks for the input... I'll not bother with that one then. I assumed someone might have translated it, but didn't bother looking around. That will save me some time.

There's a couple of other things of interest at Sega's site. There's one w/ someone from the Alex Kidd team. I've not given more than a once over though.

If there's anything out there definitely not done, but someone might want to have done, lemme know. :)

i don't really mess with emulators, but since you mentioned that the arcdae hardware isn't yet emu'd, you folks that are emu-friendly could try out the Genesis/MegaDrive or Sega Master System/Mk III versions. YES, I know they are not exactly the same, but I imagine there are fully capable Gen/MD or SMS/MkIII emus.

I get my emulation fill with MAME, for the most part. Now that hugo-x plays Turboduo CDs, and gensx plays MegaCDs, I've put those systems in the close and use my Xbox.

Back on the topic - I played the MegaDrive version AGES ago. Not bad, but not fantastic. The Turbo Duo version, IMHO, is better, although the "scrolling" screen takes a while to get used to.
