Terry Cavanagh's 2D excursion into the world of gravity control and chiptune excellence, VVVVVV (http://www.joystiq.com/game/vvvvvv), finally has a release date for its long-belated debut on the European eShop: May 10. The announcement comes to us via Twitter, where publisher Nicalis revealed that VVVVVV has passed Nintendo of Europe's certification process (https://twitter.com/#!/nicalis/status/195963036698292225) - implying immediately afterwards that the game will hit virtual store shelves on "MMMMMMay 10th (https://twitter.com/#!/nicalis/status/196034952821870593)."

VVVVVV's European eShop debut will take place a little over two years after the game's original release in January of 2010, and while that may sound like a long time, fake scientific studies have shown that it takes at least four and a half years to get the game's phenomenal soundtrack out of your head. So, comparatively, the delay isn't really all that bad.http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif (http://www.joystiq.com)VVVVVV hits European eShop on May 10 (http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/28/vvvvvv-hits-european-eshop-on-may-10/) originally appeared on Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com) on Sat, 28 Apr 2012 12:00:00 EST. What is this being released for? XBOX Live Arcade, PSN, Wii Ware, PC? :|

I hate when articles leave out or bury basic information, or when I manage to completely overlook at anyway.

VVVVVV has already been released on Linux, Mac, and Windows. This new release is for Nintendo 3DS.

VVVVVV truly is a phenomenal game. I really recommend everyone try it. The Commodore style graphics are quite enjoyable.
