So I recently came into possession of a chrono trigger that's as hard as a rock due to severe water damage.

Is there any way to get the pages back to normal? Someone mentioned that building a bunch of water and letting the steam into it might pull the pages apart again without damaging it.

Any ideas? The thing is as hard as a rock and would snap in half if I tried to bend it.

Site went crazy and posted my topic twice, but i'm still looking for answers. Here's the manual i'm talking about at 2:43

You could try a clothes steamer (the style with a wand), but that manual in the vid is pretty much maggot food. It's too far gone. You really need to catch them when they're still wet to be able to effectively restore them. Once they're dry like that, it's nearly impossible to do much of anything except for toss 'em in the fireplace.

There's a lot of threads on the Internet about restoring waterlogged books (from flooding). The answers aren't easy. I've seen people suggest steam, microwaving, or a combination of the two. Even if you did get the pages apart, it's likely that it'll be unreadable.

Steam might separate everything if you're really lucky. Go ridiculously slowly.
