heres a rare thing, the game is much better than the movie its based on! anybody else pick up this thing, its pretty cheap (under $20). its kinda like halo but i have heard the "play as a dragon" levels rock, just cant get to them yet. anybody have any cheat codes? cant find em on the usual sites.

Argh, I hear Microcenter (I think) had these for $10, but there isn't one near me...

I HAVE played the PS2 version though, and I was hooked on it. It's not perfect -- some of the control schemes aren't that great for instance -- but the missions are okay, some pretty cool.

The best thing about it for me was just the idea of size... You driving around "toot toot" and suddenly there's a dragon right on top of you just POURING fire on you. "SHIIIIIITTT!!!!".

I think maybe the difficulty level is a little high, at least in spots, but the funny thing is that it's not always like that -- almost as if your first encounter is 10-second death, but later you're driving into the fire gung-ho. Odd.

The dragon missions are kind of cool too, though they lose the awe that the human missions give you. I can NOT however kill the bull... I assume it's the last mission, but if I'm getting close to hurting him, I can't tell. Holy CRAP is that mission hard...

The Best Buy near me has Reign of Fire for $9.99. I think I'll give it a try.

Not A bad game at all...When the Fire from the Dragons hits the ground it Rocks.....OMG..I put the Sound through 4 big speakers and WOW! it rocks..

I bought it for the Xbox though for $15.00

I can't pass this game without codes...check out gamefaqs for codes..

funny thing was about the movie. i kinda wanted to see it, since i like sci-fi fantasy stuff, but with a baby on hand i hardly ever get to theatres anymore. so i was at gamestop and the game looked pretty good, again for the price. i played thru the first 3 levels and thought, wow, i'm liking this a lot i should really check out the DVD. so i rented it with high hopes, ready to accept stupid dialouge for the sake of a good thrill ride.

man what a rip-off,it starts out good, the settings and characters look alright but then van zandt arrives on scene. the concept of the archangels was just so damn stupid, guys free diving thru the sky to lure a dragon into cannon range or something, what the hell? then they start talking about dragon slaying and mount a big convoy to go into london for a super battle..ok popcorn time, no wait they get burned up before it gets going...sigh.

ok well theres this barely logical plotline about killing the bull dragon, and thus killing them all (dont ask). so the three main characters, including the cute helicopter girl awww, go into london for a desperate last stand. again you sense that this is where we see the big show, but no.... van zandt dies right away by trying to leap on the dragons head with an axe??? theres a stupid bit of tension about dropping some key explosives but its not important, all it took was throwing a stick of dynamite in the dragons mouth...huh, so why didnt the worlds armies beat this creature, never you mind that, its time for the predictable lets give humanity another chance ending.

suckfest, even the DVD extras feel tired and forced, the director himself seems doubtful.
