Collecting Milestone for 2012

Hey guys, I did a search and noticed we don't have a milestone thread this year - If there is and I missed it..sorry. So just wanted to share my milestone of 100 Genesis games! I'm pretty stoked and at the same time really depressed knowing I just scratched the surface lol. I have 70 CIB games, several with posters that have never been unfolded. Also I have 30 loose games. Feel free to check out my collecting blog which is in my sig to see what I have and follow my progress.

So what milestones have you reached this year?

I really want to have a COMPLETE library for at least one console. So, I'm starting with the one for which I only need one more title to complete, the 64DD. Just need Golf. I get that and I'll have all 9 of the 64DD games ever released :D


Other than that, I've really been into collecting portables lately. I'd really like to have at least one example of all the modern portables (GB brick and newer). I've got a good head start, so it should be doable in 2012.

I'd like to top 1000 games. Last time I checked, I was around 850. I've stumbled across quite afew lately, so it shouldn't be too bad.

I want to get up to 80 U.S. Neo-Geo AES games (Currently at 55)
And I want to get up to 60 JP AES games (Currently at 35)

I also want to complete Dreamcast and Gamecube library. (Around 80% complete for both)

According to GameTZ, I'm about 30 or so titles away from 3,000 computer, console, and portable games. I'm sure if I dug through all of my boxes and stuff, I would find stuff not listed on the site and be over the 3K threshold already.

I'm not shooting for any complete sets or anything of that nature. The only system I'd want a complete set for would be the TG16/Duo and that's on the order of nigh impossible at this point (not completely impossible, just not economically practical).

Ya Magical Chase makes it extremely difficult to complete the Turbo library.
I've only seen it like twice on ebay over the last few years.

Xbox 360 has just become the second console in my collection to reach the 200 game mark, not counting XBLA or XBLI games. :-)

If you count XBLA/I games, it's just become the first console in my collection to hit the 300 game mark!

My game buying has hit a low recently, however I would like to reach 250 games in total. Only 13 to go so it's very doable. Christmas plus if I finally buy a PS3 means I should easily meet it.

I'd also like to add more games to my NGPC collection, but the chance of finding those in the wild is always slim.

My milestone this year is moving onto "disk" games. While my cartridge collection is meager I felt I've achieved what I wanted. I've collected my favorites, was introduced to some "new to me" classics but still left room for some odds and ends to collect.

Now to catch up on all the ps1 and 2 games I missed out on before eventually moving on to modern gaming. (I only own three ps3 games of wich I only really play one)

I don't really have a number in mind, especially since I'm running out of room to expand right now. So I'm looking more so to get fewer game with greater quality. I want to continue to track down the rarer Mega Man games, and find some more rarities at low prices. Also I will get RE6 and COD black ops 2 for my PS3.
