Vectrex PItcher's Duel info needed

I've recently gotten into the Vectrex, and was looking at the following Ebay lot:

primarily because it seems to include a Pitcher's Duel cartridge- something that apparently was never released to retail back in the day if the Online Rarity Guide here is correct? If those who are more knowledgeable about Vectrex (or who own a copy of Pitcher's Duel) could give me an idea of the rarity of this game, and any info on whether or not it was actually sold in sotres back in the day, it would help greatly.

Never released in the stores, the green cart + box were a special release at some classic gaming show a few years ago. The regular black cart only release was the "standard" release. I want to say 2009, but a Google search may provide better info.

I'm going to hold off on buying this lot. Good to know that Pitcher's Duel was not actually sold in stores- what drew me to the lot was the possibility that the cartridge IS an original from 1983 and that I could own one of the rarest Vectrex games. It would be like noticing a copy of Mr. Boston in an otherwise unremarkable lot. If it is in fact a real cart, I'll let it be somebody else's good fortune to win it.

But if that Pitcher's Duel cart is really from 1983...

It's a reproduction, it was sold at CGE 2007 in both CIB and loose forms. The CIB packages had green shells, the loose ones were black iirc. I think 100 of each were manufactured. I have it sitting on my shelf next to Cube Quest.
