I spoke of it briefly in the 'Finds' thread, but I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it myself, so here's some eye candy, fellow geeks:

Killer haul, Sunnyvale!
Thanks, treismac! I'm kinda surprised no one seems to think so. Meh. The folks on Ebay are loving em. Here's some more stuff.

I think this guy came from one of those gigantic supermarket displays. Still has the last Life cereal coupon stuck to him.
Next, I'll show the games and other normal stuff I got in the deal.

I'd imagine that the wallpaper is the kind of thing that they would hang up behind the racks where Xbox games were kept.

Don't mean this to sound offensive but if that stuff has serious value (and I'm assuming it does since you're really excited about them) have you considered dumpster diving gamestops when marketing changes over? I throw out stuff like that in large piles once a month.

Thanks, you would have to assume something like that. Just weird to see it in a roll still, I guess :-/

Well damn! I'd have to sit on most of the new stuff, but the old stuff in this lot is pretty sought after. I guess I'm gonna go check and ask, but that might be already done. Thanks for the info :)
Oh, and not offended at all.

Nice haul indeed man - Just the FF7 promotional stuff alone would bring a grin to my face lol. I think the hardest part of being a hardcore sega collector is finding old sega promotional stuff.

I'll say that I'm glad that you are happy but without a price it's just not that exciting in my opinion and if you are just reselling it on ebay then Meh

I agree- nice score! One of those FF7 posters or the Lunar 2 stand-up would look pretty killer in my retro game room... PM me a price? The more reasonable it is the more likely I'll purchase... unless the wife vetoes (but in her defense we do have a framed Scott Pilgrim pixel art hanging in our living room... lol).

I'm selling extras. I got 2 of that FF poster, 4 of the LoD movie poster, 6 of the other LoD poster...
You guys really want to know what I paid? Fine. $250. He called me again, I'm getting some other weird stuff today.

I know it! I was so excited when I saw the Lunar standee, till I saw it was for the PS :-/

I only got one of the Lunar stand, so I'm keeping it for now. Already sold one of the FF posters, the cover art one, but I do have a few of the Cloud poster left. PM you in a bit.

Yeah that Eternal Blue standee had me salivating when I saw it.
Congrats on the amazing haul, if you're putting it up on eBay would you mind telling me your name? Some of it is really neat and I love old promo stuff.

NICE HAUL.
In regard to dumpster diving..I told –showed my uncle some stuff I got after jumping in a EB dumster..and he was hooked,,due to his night shift hours he was able to hit game store dumpsters in the morning and off hours..He had a whole route to this going on,sort of a crazy gotta catch em all sneaky way of doing this..I found with him it became an obsession of the free finds..
He had to get to the places before other people did..the fun became a craze..
..I created a monster lol..He’d call me via cell phone to tell me where he was at”saying,uh oh,I can’t hit this dumpster the security is looking at me....or detailing on all the stuff he was digging through... He started to go into places and made agreements with managers for stuff but others would not give him a thing..
The Good and Bad was he was bringing me van loads of stuff.and I just did not have room for it..I had to stop taking it..It amazed me how much stuff gamestores threw out especially in actual games(field destroy)..
He rented a storage bin and filled it..he filled his basement, apartment, closets etc.
.
The last thing he picked up next to a dumpster was a Play station Kiosk..he gave it to me I just never had the chance to go get it..
My uncle had brain tumor and well it messed him up to the point that he is not ok,..all his storage bins are gone.
.(the TV I watch next to my Computer today is an old EB ceiling TV..it had an old game preview video in it’s built in VCR) ..

Wow, that's quite a story! I might just have to try this out, after I clean up this damn mess. I am sorry about how your uncle is now. That sucks.
I Love that PS2 lighted Sign..

Mario theme song, part 1 sheet music, I assmue. Sealed. Pac Man 25th anniversary T Shirt, sealed. 3x Dr Mario posters, sealed. And that box has a bunch of tools and whatnot in it... And then there's the 'Gift For You' keychain set.
Best part is, he's been watching my auctions. I was scared of that. He told me he's glad I'm making money on this, and he hopes I make $1000 off that $60. I don't understand his thinking one bit, but at least he's cool with me giving him pennies on the dollar. There's more stuff I got today too, but I have my son coming over in a few, and Ebay has been retarded with all the damn questions.

Definitely an amazing haul!
Regarding new stuff... there's always new iterations of older series games and new stuff that people geek out over (Zelda and Mario, of course, RPG stuff, etc etc).
