First time owning/playing gunstar heroes!

All I can say is wow!

I never owned or played this the first time around. It usually makes just about every "top genesis" game list I can find around the net. Thing was watching the YouTube reviews it looked kinda cartoony compared to the beloved contra series. The videos usually rated pretty high though.

I picked it up on flea bay like 17 bucks loose cart in good condition with free shipping. I'm sure I could of held out but local shops had it even higher then that.

Ive been plain it every chance I get for the Last few nights. I know it's a little early but I think it may turn into one of my favorite titles!

This is one of those games that makes me glad I got back into the hobby!!!

I've secretly hated this game for years. There, I came out.

Ok ok... That's your opinion and thats fair but I got to ask.... What do ya hate about it?

Nothing about it appeals to me for whatever reason, which is odd considering that I love shmups and Contra-clones.

I can't site specific things about it that don't work for me, but overall, I've NEVER enjoyed playing it. I feel compelled to like it because I'm a Treasure fan and an avid old-fart gamer. Both of those things have pushed me to "try it again for the first time" on many occasions, only to be just as displeased with it every time. So, I really only hate it, as opposed to just disliking it, because I've tried to force myself to like it over and over with the same result; bleh. I hate that I dislike it sums it up pretty well.

My want for it is the highest it's ever been, even though I'm not a huge Treasure fan.

Look out for Light Crusader and Dynamite Headdy as well, those are some nice Treasure games that are pretty cheap (don't go for the Japanese DH or you'll regret it's asking price). Ronald McDonald in Treasureland is nice too.

I love Gunstar, always have, its my second favorite genesis game after Dynamite Headdy.

Congratulations. I found this game in a flea market over fifteen years ago and while its not one of my favorites, its still awesome.

Actually, my cousin managed to burn me out on this game. It used to be he'd come out every weekend, and this was the only game he wanted to play. And after the millionth time I started pretending I had lost the game just so I wouldn't have to play it. But nowadays, I'll gladly stick it in my Sega... except that currently Contra: Hard Corps occupies that slot.
