felt like being a little evil :vamp: Lets have a look a the Austin classic display..

http://www.digitpress.com/images/age/console_museum.jpg

1) that is the yellowest SNES I've seen.. shame

2) Genesis has no 32x.. genesis is not front loader, which is the GOD of Genesis collections.

3) TG16 with no cd unit

4) Neo-Geo is cool but no CD unit for display

5) Saturn hidden behind the PSX.. shame shame.. We getting political here?

6) Personally, if my cousin's son can remember the system, it ain't worth displaying.. dump the new crap..

anyway.. had to vent.. see ya at CGE2k3

Talk about a shabby display. What's up with this anyway? Is this, like, the 85 to Present part of the display or the whole thing?! If it's the whole thing, what's the point of it?!

I kinda like their little "cards" accompanying each machine. I was already working on some similar stuff for the goodies I'm going to tote to OKGE, and this gives me an idea or two. :-D

And knowing the stuff that the Als almost certainly have in their collection, I'm going to say this is the 85-present part of the display and not the whole thing.

The rest of the gripes no big deal but I agree that snes looks like shit.... definitely not display worthy.

Nice to see some of you try to take a crap on the AGE museum, considering you're only seeing 1/3rd of it. The SNES didn't look that bad in person, and the Saturn was probably moved by someone. We had a problem with people picking up the systems in the display, and I think some people thought those systems were for sale (beats me why). Also funny that the pic is of the least interesting part of the display, too. :) As for the condition of the systems, I believe most of them were from the Goodwill Computerworks museum, so much of those were items donated by people. Guess it wouldn't matter, though. You guys can nitpick all you want.

My favorite piece in their "museum" was the Famicom...even though the unit they had on display was an obvious bootleg. Oops.

That Gold Edition SNES was pretty rad too, though. And I couldn't BELIEVE that they had a PS2 there! You hardly EVER see those in the wild!

Ohh, don't take the post so seriously. :D The Atari part on the floor kicked ass! I just saw that SNES and ROTFLMAO.

Those units were from Goodwill from donations. I thought the display was nice, especially for those at the show who may not have seen some of the systems before.

I wasn't there, but it seems to me like you guys are just trying to find something to bash here.

Good lord. Shit like this does not help at ALL, gang. And rather than letting this scab fester, I'm dousing it with my own personal antibiotic.
