Would it be possible to put a Famicom cart connector (from the Power Joy famiclone) into a US Yobo FC console?
I know, I could just as easily buy an actual Neo Fami - this is more about being bored and having a project to do than actually having a famiclone.
I like the idea of having a solid Famiclone (like the Yobo FC) that plays Famicom games without an adaptor. The Power Joy can do this, but I absolutely despise this. Would putting its connector in a Yobo work?

Yobo use to sell a Famiclone that played Famicom games and you needed an adapter to play US games. They sold these for about a year before they came out with US version. If I am understanding your question right, I would just track down one of these.

Plausible, yes. Realistic, no. Not worth the effort.

It'd be a wiring mess to desolder an entire cartridge slot then replace it with a different pinout one. Worse than usual with how many pins are involved. Mark III slot on a Master System or something smaller like that, should be an easier way to practice such ideas.

Hmmm, okay.
Thanks!
