It's not as rare as you might think for it being a late-era release, and can ususally be seen in fleas/shops around Boston in the $10-15 range (cart only). I've been meaning to pick it up for a while too (and have come across it at reasonable prices) but I have yet to drop the bill on it. Finding one complete could prove a challenge, though.
I rented it once when it first came out and beat it in a day or two (I was 8 or 9 years old)... wasn't terribly challenging, but it's still a fun and well-crafted platformer. Good luck!

Yeah, you're right on all three counts. I was ripping through the game on emulation and having a blast, so I decided to set the rom down and play the cartridge on the actual hardware.
