I've managed to get myself into the first KH game, and so far have been enjoying it. The idea of crossing Square with Disney was amusing. However, my only gripe with it so far is the frequent battles, it's like Dynasty Warriors or something. But other than that, pretty solid action-RPG, though probably not the best in the genre.
So what have you thought of it? Good? Bad? Mediocre? Overrated? I usually ignore hype and take everything with a grain of salt before playing a game.

The main one's on the PS2 are some of my favorite games ever. Hope to God they make KH3 someday.

Vastly overrated. I'm a person who loves nearly every RPG I play esp ARPG's
I finally got to play this year after all the hype. It's just ok but to me not this amazing thing it's hyped to be.
I can forgive Nomura's awful shallow character designs but the game play is just average. It does have some charm that I will give it. Just so many better ARPG's. But to be frank the Bullshit with the gummi ship and the average gameplay terrible camera and terrible platforming. Holds back the game. Music is really nice. I think most people can't look past the fan service & nostalgia to see the game really isn't that great. It's decent at best.

I got KH1 at roughly the same time I got Wind Waker. One got played to completion, one didn't.
(Kingdom Hearts is the one that didn't, btw)
