Wii newb question

I have finally broken down and bought a Wii. Mostly for my grandkids since there really isn't much for them to play on the PS3. I have a question, though, about the controllers. Is there a list of games that you can play using the classic controller or the new controllers with a limited amount of extra moving about. You can play the New Super Mario Bros. that came with it mostly by using the buttons on the controller. Since I am an old fogey I am not really into the waving and such but rather prefer my button pushing. Any help here? Thanks.

While this isn't a comprehensive list, I can tell you off the top of my head these two games support the classic controller (or GC controller if you have a 2006 to mid-2011 model Wii):

Mario Kart Wii
Super Smash Bros. Brawl

These games force you to use the Wiimote:

New SMB Wii
Both Zelda games
Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2

Both Kirby games and Rayman Origins all require minimum motion control
