Nope. FPS is a whole nother animal.
Am I understanding that you couldn't start a new topic in this section or you didn't want to? You should be able to start a topic.

Hey Cap'n, I can't make a new topic? I was going to ask people what (or who) their favorite SHMUP bosses were. Says I need special access.
