Jesus, that's a hell of a soundtrack haul. Some of those Square ones appear to be the legitimate Tokyopop releases... I own that Ecco one, the Mononoke one, and the Mana sampler next to it. The US Konami ones are definitely legit, but I'm not so sure about Vampire Hunter D, Symphony of the Night, and the Final Fantasy III / VI stuff.

http://vgmdb.net/org/165

If I had the money I'd definitely take several of those off your hands.

Hit up a community yard sale over the weekend... not much in terms of video games (some guy wanting $20 for Assassin's Creed and other equally old PS3 games), but my score of the week was all of these DS games in great shape/CIB (3 of which included Club Nintendo codes)...

*Nintendogs: Dalmatian & Friends
*Super Mario 64 DS
*New Super Mario Bros.
*Mario Kart DS
*Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

...for $20 total. It was from a mother who assumes GS would only give their kids $2-3 for each game. Viva yard sales!

You have good taste in soundtracks, out of all of the ones posted I would want the Ecco and Mononoke ones.

I did find some stuff from garage sales on Saturday but didn't bother posting them. I found a Gamecube power supply for $0.50 just like InsaneDavid did, and a Gamecube AV cable for $0.50. I tested the AV cable last night and the video doesn't work so I'm pretty annoyed, I needed a video cable for an N64 I have and now I still need to find one. I'm hoping the power supply actually works, I still have to try that out. Plus it's a waste of $0.50, I passed on a few cheap books later on because I ran out of change and didn't want to break a $10 bill but could have got them if I didn't bother with that cable.

Best finds on Saturday were 9 DVDs for $10 total, most were $1 each with 2 at $2 each. I was given a deal since I was getting so many, I didn't even ask for it but was happy to get it. Good movies too with most being brand new. Also found some cheap books but not really anything worth mentioning, they're just for me to read.

Also annoyed on passing on a Playstation game at the thrifts last week. It was a copy of Punky Skunk for $3, it looked like some poor quality kids game so I didn't bother with it. It was there for several days last week and I only looked it up on Sunday, it's not worth much at all but it's rated an R7 here in the guide. I went back for it yesterday and it was gone.

Ah, Punky Skunk. I've played a bit of it with an emulator, and it's not too bad. It gets pretty hard once you hit world 2 though.

But enough about Punky Skunk, on to today's find. My Dad needed new parts for his Mac, so we went to the next town over to get them. As we were driving in the plaza, I noticed that a Play & Trade store had opened a few doors down from the Mac store. I browsed a bit and came out with the following:

http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/w361/SEGA_Queen/My%20Finds/MonsterTale.jpg

Monster Tale for $14.99 (New) - I've been looking for this ever since I foolishly passed on buying it on release day. The only down side is that P&T guts their display copies, just like EB Games. And unfortunately, this was the only copy they had left.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind(Xbox) $4
Sonic Adventure 2: Battle(GC) $3
Megaman X Collection(GC) $3
white Gameboy Advance
Pokemon Blue(GB)
Advance Wars 2(GBA)
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance(GBA)

These were from two seperate Goodwill finds. The GBA and three games were all bundled for $7. This time I'm keeping Pokemon blue. I keep finding so many Pokemon games but usually only one or two at a time. I'm going to keep the ones I find from now on until I build up a sizable collection of them. At another Goodwill I picked up Morrowind but hessitated with Megaman X Collection and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I wasn't sure if they were worth anything so I went home and looked them up. Then 15 minutes later I went back and picked them up since I figured they wouldn't still be there if I waited until tomorrow.

Thank you,,
Keep an eye out for my Ebay listings..

I strickly do Buy it Nows with quick one day.... fast shipping..

I got these from a guy who looked up everyone of them,on ebay and Amazon..He sent me a link to almost every cd online listed to show me what the value of each was(besides Suikoden that I sold one sealed a few months ago)..

as well he paid $1.00 each but he didn't know a value to them so I told him,no they are worth more then $1.00 each...(he's a personal friend picker),so we made a deal within what I estimated them worth after looking at all the links..The good thing is he did all this research on them and that's a huge help when I list them on ebay...

Nice haul on all those soundtracks. All the US releases should be legit, but you better check the Japanese releases. There's a high chance that they're bootlegs. You can check for the proper publisher and catalog number on here:

http://vgmdb.net/

If any are from EverAnime, Sonmay, Miya, etc., they're fakes.

Thank you.

What do you do to sell those? I have a handful of such bootlegs.

I would just put them up on eBay or a forum or whatever and be upfront about how they're unofficial pirates and state which bootlegger produced each album. You just have to accept that they're all but worthless. Most people who drop money on bootleg soundtracks do so because they have no idea what they're buying is fake. It's not like Famicom pirates and the like where some collectors are actually interested in the stuff. Pretty much no one is interested in bootleg music CDs, but if you sell them as a lot at a low enough price, you may find someone who's not so concerned with collecting and just wants to try a bunch of CDs for cheap. They can be a tough sell, though, because people who don't care about going legit are often more inclined to download the stuff online for free than pay to pirate.

On the way back from the comic shop, I stopped in at local thrift and found the following CD/DVD shelf for $12.60. Now I can finally display the rest of my console games.

http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/w361/SEGA_Queen/My%20Finds/NewMediaShelf.jpg

I know thats one of your finds from last month but I remembered it when I bought this today:

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC1506.jpg

This was $20 at Goodwill. Ever since I got my Japanese import PS2 system a few months ago my PS2 import games have increased and thus I have ran out of all the space I was using on the two shelves my PS2 games are on. And one of the shelves was shared with a row of Gamecube games. So I'm going to use this shelf for my Gamecube games and will have to either put my Dreamcast games or some other systems games on the extra 3 shelves. I also like how I didn't have to make this one like I've made all my gaming shelves.

Had this brought to me on referral (someone told the guy I'd want old gaming stuff, so he brought me this). Wanted 30 bucks. I'd have probably passed at that price except when I opened it....

http://i655.photobucket.com/albums/uu277/camarotuner13/Photo461.jpg

They didn't have Keio Flying Squadron? I think that pretty much covers all the rare expensive Sega CD games. :P

With his luck, Sonic Spinball will probably turn out to be the rare alternate music version as well. :D

It'd be funny if the other half were titles like Sewer Shark, Make My Video, Microcosm, Prize Fighter, or NHL '94.

I wish I could find the titles you found, most are still on my want list. I'm not sure I could still find them cheap as the thrifts by me hardly get games in anymore and when they do they're usually marked up in price.

There was a topic a little while back, but some US copies of Sonic Spinball had the Sonic 1/2 title jingle, but the majority had a replacement title screen song (supposedly due to copyright concerns).

Went to a couple thrifts on Tuesday, but this is all I found. I was pretty amazed it was there because it had a yellow tag and was 50% off, which means it must have been there for a few weeks. Or maybe it was just miss-tagged.

FLEA MARKET..

I had a few goals today..

Find some loose Pokémon GBC games...(battery swap project)..NONE..

Find PS2 Controllers,..found but passed at $5-6 EACH beat up..

Find a small motorcycle(as I’m always looking)..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/2012%20PICTURE%20ALBUM/FLAMARKER62312033.jpg

FIRE FLY AND GHOSTBUSTERS atari 2600 games....2 for $5.00..ahh being a GHOSTBUSTER fan I had to buy it (though for eBay)..I don’t know what these are worth and if they fall in the Common category but let me tell you I never see games like these at flea markets or garage sales today..2600 games are not a usual find anymore for me,I’m not even seeing NES games that much anymore..

The vendor had a bunch of misc. games ,set in baggies of two...plus a lot of vintage toys...We got to talking and he told me where he he bought all the games and vintage toys.. He cleaned out a big old house in Montclair NJ,the attic was full of vintage toys, game, systems in boxes..but the the attic was not ventilated and so hot,he said it was easily over 125 degrees up there and almost everything was melted from sitting so long in the heat..He could not breath up there,he had to take things out slowly..,he could not salvage that much,it went in the trash, things brittle and falling apart..from the look of what he saved I could only imagine what was in that attic...Sad as a goldmine of stuff was all messed up,he kept shaking his head in sadness as he had to throw so much away. ..

Two Wave bird Controllers...I searched high and dry for the transmitters with no luck though the guy had so much electronic crap in bins that he might have them.I have to look again the next time I see him(just to hot out)..they were 2 for $10.00,,I haggled to 2 for $5.00 and bought them....something else to go on eBay..as I have two of my own..

PAC MAN,TRASHED..$5.00
(after the purchase)The vendor said he has had it out several times and no buyers,he was going to trash it if didn’t sell today..So I am happy to save it from it’s grave..
It may actually work,ok turn on as the battery compartment is ok,and the ,what ate they came vacuum bulbs-the internals look fine..I swapped parts out of one of these many years ago, they are tough to open but I was able to do it..I am going to list it on eBay,maybe someone needs parts..(I have two of these in nice condition in my collection)

Kodak Printer $1.00 (something else to go on eBay
Kodak Photo paper brand new $1.00 (I’ve bought this paper before and have sold it on ebay for $20-25 every time.
Picture Frame for Grandma $1.00
Folder..$1.00..it had Michael Jackson stuff in it,I had to grab it..$1.00
Free GOOD Batteries in the controllers.

Electric Dirtbike(parts I need on it to fix up other electric bikes I have-shoot the control box I need it $40.00 online..
$10.00
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/2012%20PICTURE%20ALBUM/FLAMARKER62312022.jpg

I came home and the old guy next door gives me this bike..Seems the building he manages was sold and he’s to clean out all the left stuff in the basement..
the bike needs work but It has some good Frees style parts that I can use to fix up my old HARO
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/2012%20PICTURE%20ALBUM/FLAMARKER62312030.jpg

Flea Market,before I left..
I met this current game system seller..he was so full of it,he was selling stuff so over priced saying it was rare, everything was rare..He made my head hurt as he was so damn desperate..,no matter what I asked he pushed it as the best thing in the world..he told me an NES clone he had on the table in box has emulated games in it..I asked how and he said,it plays them...huh....what a cart?..had no idea what the heck he was talking about,he goes on to tell me that he is the biggest retro and new system game seller in the USA..I asked him(nicely) is there any reason why they stuck you way in the back where no one can see you..He sais he got up late..LOL..I said to him,Good Luck Today..He said..I don’t need it!!!..(oh he needed it)

Other things I saw today..

I actually like your shelving unit more than mine, because yours has more room for expansion. Still, I'll buy what I can find if it's cheap. I rarely find good shelving units in the thrifts, and they're too expensive if you buy them new.

I also rarely find nice shelving units in thrifts. I thought about waiting until this one got discounted(they do markdowns every three weeks) but it would have probably been picked up before then. Eventually I'm going to need either a new room or to start putting some things into storage.

The GBA and DS games were from a yardsale. I always find DS games at yardsales or thrifts but people never want to sell the DS system to play them on. I still don't have a DS but I've acquired probably around 30 or 40+ games for it. And guess what the boxed GBA SP is missing. Thats right, it's ac adapter. Luckily I have an extra one from my earlier searches this year. Those things are like unicorns. And I picked up the Nes games from Goodwill.

Spotted at an Salvation Army. Even with a 30% store-wide sale, I had to pass. :)

My heart hurts after seeing that picture. If I had come across it this afternoon I'd have to change my pants afterward. A Tron arcade unit is one of my ultimate wants. Not only a good game, but a work of art in itself. Too bad it's not working, although it's probably something repairable. Too bad the price is so high, considering it's nonfunctioning.

All I picked up today was a copy of Scramble Cobra for the 3DO for $14.99 at a game store.

This stuff was from Thursday:
http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/Finds/AAB85D38-orig.jpg
DS was 20
Pokemon Ruby 5
Action Replay 1
DS game was 5
Sony AM/FM 1 -all that from one sale early where I had an odd encounter

N64 stuff was a lot for $15 (was 20 and I wasn't sure and she offered for 15)

View-Master looks new and has all(?) of the wheels $2 I forgot how neat these are.

bin of a/v cables for .25 each. at one point I would have bought a bunch to go with toasters, but don't need many anymore.

... so the odd encounter: I got to this sale that advertised the DS and some games about 10 minutes early and they'd clearly already been busy for a while. As I'm walking up I looked back and saw 'Jay' I said hello but kept walking because I know he buys video game stuff, too. He said something about not expecting me to be in that area (it is a burb and I do live in the city). I've actually sold him a bunch of stuff before and he seems like a nice guy, if a bit weird. Anyway, he's rushing to catch up but doesn't so I get to the table first, spot the DS right off, and pick it up. He reaches across in front of me to grab a GB printer, I was kind of wtf, but didn't want to miss out so I quickly snatched up the GBA game, he grabbed something else, I saw the stack of DS games under something and picked them up (all this is with me holding my 2-yr old). Then we both reached for a GBA and picked it up at the same time. He starts tugging and I said "come on, don't be a jerk. I was here first." At which point he rather violently threw down onto the table all the stuff he was holding and bolted for his pickup, peeled out and sped off. The people at the sale were shocked and couldn't stop talking about it. And the woman asked if he took something. I explained what had happened and there were comments like 'good, we don't want someone like that here anyway' and 'He's on a mission, apparently'. The funny thing in the end was that I only bought the DS, one DS game, and the GBA game. The GBA was marked $8 (too high for me), the GB printer was $5 (I barely passed on it since I don't have one, but I've been thinking of selling that collection), and the other DS games were junk and too high. He's now on my 'too unstable to deal with in person' list, population 1.

I went to a LOT of sales today, but I'll have to get pictures and such.

I picked up an Jasper 360 Elite black unit with 120gig hard drive, 3 wireless controllers, and an original xbox system for $40 today via craigslist. they some how fried the power brick that went to the 360, but I'm sitting on like 10 RROD systems so I have plenty of cables in the garage.

I mentioned I went to a ton of sales yesterday. I really don't have a lot to show for it, but they were all in my neighborhood and I was riding my bike with the trailer behind it. I had my 2yr old daughter in the trailer in the morning and was going around with my wife and 5yr old on his bike. Then after lunch I went back out with the empty trailer because I needed to pick up a bike we bought for my son. Anyway, guesstimating from the map of sales I think I went to about 60 sales.

http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/Finds/00A15E8C-orig.jpg

Only thing in addition to this was a box of Genesis w/ a model 1 and 5 or so games (Sonic is the only good one) for $5.
Xbox games were 3 for $10, these were the good ones (well, Arx looks good anyway) Passed on a bare Xbox for $5, not sure why
Beastie Boys for my wife, TMBG for me
two 1TB HDDs $5 each. Hope they still work after bouncing around in the trailer for a couple hours
PSone $10, MGS $3 - asked about more and the young woman said she bought this setup just for this game (badass), but she couldn't get past the 2nd stage (lame).
digital tuner box - $3
DS Lite x2, 5 little girl games, 2 chargers - $20 - I feel a little bad about this purchase. A couple girls were selling these. I asked a couple times if their parents new they were selling them and double checked with the grandmother that was there that it was all okay. Total would have actually been 16, but I told her to keep the change. Was cute that they were selling the chargers for .25 separately.

I hit a couple flea markets this weekend. At the first, the only thing that I picked up was a JVC cassette deck for $3 since I have some old cassettes that I need to convert to CD/MP3. At the second one the only thing I got was a John Grisham audio CD set for $3 for my mother. There were a bunch of people there selling games, but mostly the current, over produced, over priced crap. I saw one guy with some Saturn stuff and decided that I needed to check it out. That only lasted until I saw that he wanted $60 for just the system. All the games were extra, and equally over priced. He had some Genesis and NES stuff too. He wanted $15 for a loose copy of Zelda for the NES. I think the most reasonably priced item that he had was what appeared, and I stress appeared since I didn't examine it too closely, to be a sealed copy of Sonic 2 for the Genesis for $10. Given his prices on his other stuff I figured that there must have been something up with that one.

Yeah, this was the biggest my neighborhood's sale has ever been. I'm in the city and it is fairly dense, and bicycle is clearly the way to do this type of neighborhood sale. Alleys are a PITA to navigate for garage sales in a car, but a breeze on the bike. Way quicker, too, since you don't have to figure out parking or wait for other cars, etc, etc. Going to that many sales and coming back with as little as I did always makes me wonder how many treasures I passed by... stuff I don't know anything about.

I'm way, way backed up on listing, too. I've nearly decided I have to put a moratorium on going to sales, but the season is so short here that I just can't bring myself to. I've really got to double down on the listing, though. Stuff is starting to really pile up in the basement.

I stopped at a Movie Trading Company store and bought a clearly pirate copy of Tom & Jerry Frantic Antics! for the Genesis. It always surprises me what games pirate manufacturers make copies of. Did the original game sell so amazingly well that they retooled their factory to make knock-offs of it? Weird.

Oddly enough, the SNES Tom & Jerry game seems to be a popular inclusion on SNES pirate multicarts... or at least on most of the carts I've seen online.

Probably because Tom & Jerry is a 4 megabit game (the lowest common size on SNES games) based on a popular character. Pirates probably deliberately chose the lowest memory games so they can fit the most on a single cart.
(like if any Famicom pirate cart claims to contain more than 10 games, it's probably a ton of first-gen (16-40K) games.)

I was reluctant to ask price after looking at the other"vintage items the vendor had up for sale..I had never seen the people before..
I would say the way that had it displayed and with what else they had I'd not be surprised they'd want $250.00..

I also ran into a guy with an old Poker stand up arcade machine,he knew I am into Arcade machines..He is to bring the machine for me to look at and price for him ,the last guy that had one of them out there wanted $800.00 and it wasn't worth 50 bucks..

LE Crystal Xbox with 2 crystal controllers and all hookups - Mint condition with just a couple of minor scrapes

Found this at a Half Price Books marked as a "modified Ghost Xbox" for $34.99. The guys that took it out of the locked game cabinet told me that they couldn't figure out how to price a modded console so they just priced it the same as the regular. I love finding LE stuff that wasn't really released anywhere near Texas and lo and behold there it is!

Oh, and the best part is that I had my 15% off coupon so it was just $29.75!

I hear that. He had another one that was cleaner that he was holding onto but brought it out for me to look at since he didn't know very much about them and I'm always up for explaining the basic setup and how the mechanisms work on the machines. Although his price was all anyone should ever pay for a vintage machine ($25) I really don't need another vintage pachinko although I'm sure the restoration would go far faster on this one than my last.

I've seen that Y&O nurse machine go for as low as $20 at a few rummage sales. (moments before I get there) While it's not an incredible machine, I like the motif and they tend to show up fairly frequently for less than fifty bucks. For that kind of money it would be impossible to pass up a working modern machine. It's actually a pretty cool machine with nice visuals and sound on the display screen.

These days when it comes to pachinko purchases I'm limiting myself to a single modern machine, CR Bunny Girl (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngmQBqCm1fI), if I'm ever fortunate enough to come across one. For years they were readily available at $225 but they've seem to become pretty scarce in the past couple years.

You're about two years late to the party. Not long after SW: TFU Ultimate Sith Edition came out it sold out pretty quickly. So both the 360 and PS3 editions were selling for an average of $50....used. New copies were selling for $90-$110. I know this because I found three new copies of the PS3 version and sold them for $90, $100 and $105 respectively. Used prices have finally come down to a more reasonable price and it looks like new copies have too, although the only sold ones I could find on ebay were from the UK. I don't count amazon since you can't tell whats actually selling there unless it's in your cart. It's not really rare (plenty at launch, we got resupplies for some time before it went discontinued). But it was a slow selling game that got amazing reviews and slowly built up steam. By the time a lot of people decided they had to have one it was discontinued and with GS's policy of tossing cases for DS games now complete copies are drying up really quickly.

I'll occasionally come across one of the old '60s and '70s models, but I've only come across one of the modern ones once. It was in some little shack/flea market in the deep country in another state. She wanted $70 for it, but it didn't seem to work. I would have been broke if I'd have bought it, so I sadly left it. Then I researched it online and found out that all I needed to get it to work was a plug on the back. I've been through that area since, but the flea market's never open when I drive past. I wish it was still for sale there, I'd grab it this time.
