Crysis(PC) manual and case $1
Assassins Creed: Revelations(360) $9.99
Killzone 3(PS3) $14.98 x2
Mega Memory Card(PS1) $3
The Heroic Trio vhs movie $1
Cheats & Codes 2011 1 cent

I picked up AC at Besy Buy. I couldn't decide which variation of Killzone 3 I wanted so I bought them both. I'll probably keep the one with the outdated Socom 4 beta. Interesting enough, the PS1 memory card(which also had a regular memory card included in the box) holds up to 360 blocks of memory. This is the second instance of something from the PS1 referencing the 360 but thats because of the number and not Microsoft's future system...unless Sony could see into the future. Crysis didn't have a disc in it but because I have been playing Crysis on my 360 lately I decided to get the manual and case anyway, mainly for the manual. Plus, it's not like I was going to play it on my PC anyway. After seeing there was no disc inside the cashier decided to only charge me a buck.

my first decent round of finds for this year finally.

http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd158/car_show_fan/carshows2/IMG_0388.jpg

First off stopped at this place called "Junktiques" basically a store that a local picker setup in burlington vermont.

He had an atari game case full of 2600 games and a very nice looking atari 2600 and some manuals sitting next to it.

Bought Battlezone and galaxian for 5 bucks together.
Also found the Atari 2600 manual (probably for the one sitting there. a 4 switch model) and a booklet talking about the different games you could buy for the system.. I think its a pack in because the games listed I believe are all original release games. Maybe someone can confirm for me. Paid 2 bucks for the pair.
Also an item i am gonna have to get another time that I found there..... A vectrex console. 60 bucks i didn't ask to see if i can turn it on to see if it turns on. No games around to test it with sadly.

Goodwill I bought the Nintendo Power Stategy Guide for Ninja Gaiden II. The spine part of the cover has been ripped off but other then that great condition... 99 cents.
Also found a copy Parasite Eve for the PS1. 3 dollars.
Not bad haul if I do say so myself. Nothing really worth anything (except i see parasite eve is going for 15 bucks right now on ebay but whatever).

That's a good price for a Vectrex. It has a built-in game (Minestorm) so you should be able to test it out fine with that (other than the cart slot, obviously).

My local Best Buy and Target stores are crap. KZ3 was $29.99 and I remember seeing AC for the same price (or maybe a bit less).

I just laughed when I saw "pre-owned" copies of DNF priced at $24.99 at BB. I envy your local retailers.

Anyway, flea market today sucked. Didn't bother stopping at any yard sales because most of them were one single table of clothes. However, I did buy:

Splinter Cell: Conviction 360 - $10 (been wanting to play this and it's not a terrible price)
Sega Genesis Model 2 w/ two controllers & Sonic 2 boxed - $20
Mortal Kombat Genesis boxed - $2
Yamaha drum machine - $2 (easy resell on eBay for $30 or so)
Controller lot: SMS Light Gun, 2 three-button Genesis controllers, and a 3DO Goldstar controller - $10

Passed up on a US Robotics 56k fax modem NIB for $5. Offered $1 but since it was a "box computer thing", they needed at least $5. They didn't even know what it was until the man looked at it. Probably could have got it for $3 but those things aren't as easy to sell anymore and the prices have went down a great deal.

so $6.50 for everything in this first picture:

All this cost me $20 after trading in some Wii, PS3 games at local game store

Killzone 3 was on clearance at Target. And Best Buy's @Gamer magazine had a $20 off coupon for Assassins Creed: Revelation(for 360 or PS3) so I waited for it to go on sale last week(marked down from $39.99 to $29.99) and used it for maximum savings. Those coupons in that magazine have also made it possible for me to get brand new copies of Splinter Cell: Conviction, Mass Effect 2, Rage and Bulletstorm all for $5 each after using the $15 off coupons when those games got marked down to $20. Whats even better is the fact that the coupons count as cash so although I only paid $10 for AC: Revelations it counted towards my rewards zone and gamers club points as if I paid the full $30 for it.

I would suggest you subscribe or atleast look at the latest issue of @Gamer magazine in all Best Buy stores every month. Some months it's a bust but the $15 I paid for my subscription has already paid itself back several times over. And if you want another Best Buy deal, all stores that still have the collectors edition of Assassins Creed: Brotherhood have been marked down to $29.99. I was able to find PS3 copies in pretty much every store but only one had 360 copies left. And that edition was originally $99.99 when it released.

Yea, my local target had KZ3 for $29.99. Two copies, neither on clearance. The only under-10 games I saw were some guitar titles.

I saw the placeholder for ACB at BB but the only "collector's editions" they had on the floor were two copies of Prototype 2. I don't know whether they sold a lot in a short amount of time or were too lazy to restock the shelves. Will have to check out that magazine though.

Hit up a thrift store this morning with the housemates. I saw a pair of Xbox consoles behind the counter and a beat up N64 with power supply and missing covers for expansion slots but didn't pick any of them up. I actually ran into my cousin and his parents there. :D

The nice thing about the trip was I noticed a GS location that I wasn't aware of previously. I ended up trekking back to that part of town later in the day but didn't find anything worthwhile at that store. At another location I snagged the DS games Zenses: Ocean for $3 and Mystery Case Files: Millionheir for $5.

Not really finds per se but I picked up Windy X Windam on DS from Amazon for $5 and Shepherd's Crossing on PSP for $4. :)

From Thursday, Friday, and Saturday garage sales
http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/Finds/5E8ED98C-orig.jpg

Couple more 'bookshelf games', though these aren't worth anything :\ $1 each
Wii was $5, so figured it was broken, turns out it is a korean one and is bricked with the 003 error. Looks like there is a fix for this, but might be more trouble than it is worth for me. Had the bootleg Kart game in it.
The Atari is in amazing condition, so I couldn't leave it behind - $14
The water basketball game is pretty cool; my aunt and uncle used to get us one of these every year for xmas. It was $1, and apparently people collect these now.
The LCD game I got thrown in with the VCS and water game at the same sale.
The Wii game and "pokemon Collection 100 in 1" were $5 or so. The GB boot is pretty cool. It has a bunch of actually different games. Stuff like Pokemon G, S, Y, R, B, Mario Land, CV Adventure, Burai Fighter, Dr. Mario, Klax, etc. And then there are a bunch of pong clones and repeats that are just level selects for Mario Land (Egyptian Mario) and Castlevania 4 (lvl 4 of Adventure).

Harvest Moon 2 GBC was a gift from a friend, the box of PC games I got for $30. Yes, I probably way over paid for most of them, but it was part of a charity auction. Good cause and all that.

Various random finds. Didn't feel up to calculating tax or discounts.

$1.50 - Batman 60s movie DVD
$3 - Halo 2 Xbox cib
$5 - The Saboteur 360 cib
$13 - Game Gear with carrying case, manuals, battery packs, etc. Need to test first. Even if not working it could be trade fodder.

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century DVD complete series
Shinobi III gen cart
Batman Returns gen cart
Dragon's Fury gen cart
Dragon's Revenge gen cart
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Never Ending Tomorrow ps2 cib

Actually, the Starcraft stuff will more than pay for the contents of the box itself. If Duke 3D is the version with Duke Nukem 1 and 2, that's worth around $10 shipped. And if my eyes don't deceive me, I see a copy of System Shock 2 there. That's 40 bucks at least.

You did very good.

Yeah looks good to me. Some PC games of value I think.

As for the stuff from my own last post...
These games tested so far work well. Batman movie too.

Game Gear powers up then crashes. :( Really don't have space anyway, I've decided to post that GG stuff in the sales topic like I was suggesting I would.

Not sure if I'll keep the onlive console either. I'm still thinking about that after having tested the unit. Turns out it was open box new! But thanks to Steam there isn't much purpose for me.

Necrodome

Every copy came like that and they're easier to find than you might imagine. I think it has more to do with the type of game and that the box is sturdy and meant to be reused for storage. It's certainly WAY more common to come across than an Arkanoid, Stack Up or standalone ROB + Gyromite box.

That copy isn't complete however since there should also be a fold out Konami / Ultra poster advertising their current and upcoming releases.

unwind that cord on the Superpad 64. I'm curious to see whether that's the Pro (with turbo) or not. The Pro is considered rare, and worth a good $25.

Just checked it, no turbo. It doesn't even have the Superpad branding on it, unless it was a sticker that someone just tore off.

I wasn't sure this morning if I'd even head out to garage sales, but the kids were getting crazy and I found an ad on CL for a sale w/ a DS for 30 and a DSi XL for 50, plus about 50 DS games for $5 each. I got the kids going and we were out the door pretty quick. Had to drive maybe 15 or 20 minutes and got there 8.05-8.10 (started at 8 on the ad). Well, there were about 5 games left. I asked and the woman said there had already been 2 guys there duking it out over all the stuff. One guy was using a scanner and claimed he was checking his store's inventory to see what he already had on the shelves. I thought that was pretty funny. Anyway, I was pretty bummed but picked up DS Lego Batman as marked for $4. Not sure if she changed the price after the first guys left, or what.

I hit some more sales in that neighborhood and the surrounding area, but with little hope figuring I'd likely already been beat to anything good. I did find some stuff though.
-PS2 games were $2 each or $5 for 8. MM Ann. is sealed
-Zip 750 was $2 (hope it works, I have a broken one already)
-Needed a clock w/ big numbers, so that one will work great for $1
-The mugs were actually one of my last stops, and they were unmarked but the guy said $1 each and I took them. They are too big to really be useful (I have similar ones from an Octoberfest), but how could I leave them behind?

And at one of the sales I saw this:
http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/Finds/462CCA24-orig.jpg

I just started to dig in the bin to see about prices on games and such when the woman said her husband didn't want to deal with it, so the whole bin could go for $30. I saw a couple decent games and decided to pay her before she changed her mind.

Here's the hardware:
http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/Finds/D44A743F-orig.jpg

There's an odd PS2/USB controller and a couple mult-memory cards for PS2.

And the games:
http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/Finds/F79D25AC-orig.jpg
Trivial Pursuit and Hot Shots are sealed. I checked SH and the RE games and they are all complete and in excellent condition; shiny and new looking. Someone sure likes sports games, though. Sheesh!

I discovered a new thrift store today, and picked up the following PS1 games:

Final Fantasy Origins (Complete) - $5.99

Final Fantasy Tactics (Complete) - $5.99

Final Fantasy Anthology (Missing Music CD) - $7.99

Crash Team Racing (Complete) - $2.00 (Found at a different thrift than the FF games.)

I'm planning to flip these titles, so I can put more money in my PS3 fund.

Earlier in the week, I visited my local Toys R Us Express store to see if they had any Sonic figures in. Although I didn't find what I was looking for, I did find out that they are clearing out their stock of single pack Pokemon figures. So I grabbed two for $3.98 each.

How rare has arkanoid become over the years? I managed to score the cart & controller for a total of like, $3 or $4 at the local flea market back in the late 90s... it was pretty uncommon back then (especially the controller), but what could someone expect it to go for these days? Inquiriing minds want to know... :D

I'd guess much of Arkanoid's value comes from if it includes a working paddle (and more for the box/manual)
Pretty sure the store near me that wants $40 for a loose cart is nuts. (maybe $5 at most would be a fair loose price? Or has it suddenly become more valuable than I thought?)

I paid about $3.50 for my cart only copy of Arkanoid. Loose carts tend to go for five to ten bucks around here.

Got a boxed copy of Exile for the Genesis for $5:

(According to the sticker on the cart, this copy was once available for rental at a store called "Video Games Plus" in Ocean City, WA.)

A local town sponsored a "50 mile long" community yard sale today. It sucked ass. Poorly put together and one of the four official stops only had three vendors selling children's clothes.

Waste of time. Did get a sealed copy of this Friends Trivia PS2 game for $1. Also found a Leapster unit with three games for $2. Oh, and a digital converter box with remote for $5. That was it. No electronics, no really nice items, just a bunch of clothes and trinkets. Probably the worst outing I've had in a year.

I hit a little flea market on the way home from work this morning. They hold it the 2nd Sat of the month during the summer. The last few times that I have been there I haven't found anything. Today started out the same way. I hit one booth that had a bunch of new action figures. They were from Jurassic Park, but for $1 each I would have still bought some for my grandson. Unfortunately, as I was walking up they were loading them all in a bag for the woman who had just bought them.

I then wound up going to another few booths, seeming to always follow the same guy who just happened to be looking for video games. We hit one booth and he began digging in a box of PS1 and N64 games that were listed at $1 each. Since I didn't want to climb on top of him, I walked to the other side of the booth to see what else they had. There I found a cardboard box that was almost closed that said, 'Sega system $20'. I looked inside and found a model 2 Genesis with model 2 Sega CD, 2 light guns, (1 blue, 1 orange), manual, power supplies, controllers, and RF adapter. For games it came with loose copies of Lion King and World Series Baseball, a boxed copy of T2 The Arcade Game, and complete copies of Alien 3, Terminator 2 Judgement Day, and Mortal Kombat. For the Sega CD it had disc & manual copies of Sewer Shark and Lethal Enforcers.

All in all I felt it was a good deal for $20 and since the other guy was busy with the junk $1 PS1 stuff, I got the deal!

Stopped by the post office this morning and found a pair of packages waiting for me. I picked up some titles from some fellow forum members here.

One package had Kidou Gekidan Haro Ichiza Haro no Puyo Puyo for GBA (Gundam + Puyo Puyo = win)

The other package contained Shinobi and Mario/Sonic London 2012 Olympic games for 3DS and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded for DS.

Stopped by my old GS store to check on a pre-order and found PictoImage CIB for DS for $5. :)

I was wanting to go to the flea market this weekend but other plans were already in place and we're down a car for the time being because my housemate hit a deer on the highway earlier in the week. @_@

I went out for yard sales earlier but didn't find anything. At one sale there was a Game Gear with games but nothing looked interesting so I didn't bother asking a price. These were 3 for $1 at Goodwill and I figured I'd grab them all since you don't see these often. They are from back in the day when the series first aired.

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC1443.jpg

Transformers, Gobots and Wheeled Warriors books $1.50
Halo: Ghost of Onyx paperback $1.50
Underworld novel 50 cents
Ayumi Hamasaki: Off My Day book 50 cents

More of the adventure books and the final Underworld novel I needed. I just finished reading the novel for the second movie last month and now I have all three and all of them were found at various Goodwill's. A few highlights:

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC1445.jpg

I don't think that many people remember the Wheeled Warriors cartoon series from the 80's. It was one of my favorite series and I had most of the toys. Finding stuff related to the show in the wild is pretty rare so this was a pleasant surprise. The Ayumi Hamasaki picture book was sitting on a table in front of the cd racks but I couldn't find any cds of her's there. Actually, I just kind of guessed it belonged to a cd because I didn't know she was a singer. Theres nothing in the book that suggest it because it just shows her at various photo shoots. But the name seemed familiar. But I couldn't find any cds of hers with the title of that book during my online search so I still have no idea where it came from.

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC1449.jpg

Dragon Age II(360) $5
Resistance 3(PS3) $10
Ace Combat: Assault Horizon limited edition music soundtrack cd 1 cents
Shenmue(DC) $5
Private Idol(SAT) $17

Dragon Age II, Resistance 3 and the Ace Combat soundtrack were all from Best Buy. More good deals for reward zone and gamers club members. Shenmue was from Goodwill. I've noticed that some Goodwill's are starting to charge extra when games have more than one disc. This is yet another policy I hope doesn't spread to all their stores because that would make alot of PS1 rpg's $6-$9 each instead of $3 or $4.

Around here they have already been charging more for dvd seasons because of this. I mean, I don't mind a flat $5 or $10 for a used dvd season set. Thats usually how it works but some places already use the "per disc" policy for dvds. One Goodwill had the Daria complete season dvd set but it wasn't marked. I asked them how much they were going to charge and they said $24. When I asked why she told me that they charge $3 per dvd and since it had 8 disc it came up to $24. I told her I'd pass and just walked off. And I'm hoping that they don't start doing that to video games the next time I find a copy of Final Fantasy 8 or Legend of Dragoon because that would make them $12 each instead of the usual $3 or $4.

That looks like the correct one, mine is just like that and uses a DB9 connector, not the RJ11 one. I've never seen a orange Justifer with an RJ11 plug, I can't imagine American Laser Games would do that since they sold this direct, and they'd have no reason to sell only the 2nd player gun. *_*

There are orange guns like this that were also used for the 3DO, but they are wired differently I believe so it wouldn't work with the Genesis. The fact that they were bundled together in this find means you probably have the real deal. I feel bad for whoever had it before though, because the only way you can do 2 players is with the pink gun that has the RJ11 jack.
