Hey guys, just thought I'd let anyone who might be interested know about a new controller adapter from Mayflash, a Hong Kong based peripheral maker of some surprisingly awesome products such as the NES/Super NES to Wii adapter and their line of extremely mod-friendly arcade sticks.

The latest product to hit the shelves is the Universal Adapter for 360/PS3/PS2.

This little box lets you use a wired Xbox 360 controller on the PS3, a wired PS3 controller on Xbox 360, or a wired PS2 controller on either. Being USB, it also works for PC as well. In addition to being an adapter, the device has standard turbo fire settings for shmups and such as well a Home/Guide button for when using a PS2 controller.

Overall performance is extremely good and it works just as advertised. I made up a video review for it if you're interested.

Can't you already use a wired 360 controller on a PS3?

Like, straight up, out of the box plug and play?

No, I don't think so.

Can you?

Would this enable me to use a Saturn USB pad on 360? Most of my fighting games are for PS3 because I'm free to use the controller I want, but I might pick this up if I could do the same on 360.

Very interested. I would like to see a complete or near complete compatibility list from some collectors here first.

I have plugged various USB controllers into my PS3 just to see if they'd work, and they all did. Haven't tried a 360 controller, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

All signs of evidence on the internet point to: in testing this theory evidence was found that, it will not work.

I've plugged some generic human interface device type USB controllers in to my PS3 that actually allow you to move the XMB left/right but will not work in an actual game.

no, you can't. 360 controllers only work on the 360 and Windows PC if you install the drivers. No such drivers for PS3.
