I've been trying to find more NES games that have a definite ending. Basically, an ending sequence or some other indicator that you've beaten the game. Here's a list of what I can think of off the top of my head. Obviously, I haven't beaten, or even played, every game for the NES so please let me know if I've missed any, or if I've made any mistakes.

Here's one I bet most don't know about. Gyruss has a whole cutscene at the end with an epilogue, but only in the FDS version.

I added as many as I could think of while taking a dump.

It's gonna take a while to complete a list. There's prolly more that have endings than don't.

Definitely so. It would be way easier to create a list of games that go on forever rather than a list of games that end. We'll end up with hundreds of games on this list.

I almost forgot to add Astyanax, definitely needs to go on that list.

I'm not an RPG player but I'm guessing most if not all RPGs have an ending.

VGmuseum has a large listing of NES game endings, with screen shots, you can cross reference your list with theirs here (http://www.vgmuseum.com/end/nes/).

Huh? Most NES games have endings. I don't get the point of this list. I agree with the others who say you're better off compiling a list of NES games that DON'T have endings.

That was my thinking as well.
