I already have a US Turbografx-16. but the PCengine has a better selection of games. so what is the cheapest way possible to play a PCengine HuCard?

If you don't care about CD games... buy a used, loose Coregrafx or original white pc-engine. A converter is a lot more rare and expensive.

If I buy a loose Coregrafx. what wires do I need to play it? and what AC Adapter does it use?

You will need the following:

1) Games (obvious)
2) Core or white PC Engine
3) AV cables (Genesis or SMS AV cables will work)
4) A PC Engine Controller, TG16 controller won't work due to different port
5) 9V 850mA AC Adapter (negative center)

Will the Turbografx AC adapter work?

5) 9V 850mA AC Adapter
What polarity? Or does it not matter like an NES adapter? This would be important to mention.

It's ballpark but the voltage is too high to be 100% safe (PC Engine is 9v and I believe the TG-16 runs on 10.5V). I can attest that it does work but I wouldn't use it as a permanent solution. A Sega Master System / Model 1 Genesis power supply is a good match for the PC Engine's original power supply. A Model 2 Genesis power supply IS NOT.

I'm actually just thinking about buying, an adapter. I found one on a website that is like 80 dollars. Is there anything I can do about using a 6 button controller?

EDIT: I mean an Adaptor to play PC Engine games on a Turbografx-16

If you don't want to go back, you could open it up and cut the pins and re-pin it (the hu-card/turbo-chip pins) I did that once for an old turbo duo i had. It worked fine while i had it. You can google the pin-out.

If you go to PCEngineFX.com and speak to Shop5, he would send you a Chopsado for free. It's the best alternative for playing imports without modding and works very good once you get used to it. Just thought I would throw that out there and there is no need for buying a new system or buying an expensive adapter either.

What is a Chopsado? please tell me more about it, or point me to a website I can find more info on it?

How Much does he charge for each one?

If you join over there and ask him, he'll probably just send you one for free. Might just charge you shipping. Not sure, you'd have to ask him. Never seen him charge anyone for one though that I am aware of.

Depending on your luck, that approval may take a while. It took me about 2 months to get in that club.

If that is the case would anyone mind getting me his email, or a way to contact him?
