Is anyone aware of a game that's about video games? Something like sceneit.. but for gamers? Really looking for something to play with my friends. Anything like this exist?

I initially thought you meant video games about video games, which there are a lot of. As for trivia games?

I don't think that exists. But when you consider the fact that video games are relatively young, especially compared to film, it's understandable. Someone should make one.

I understand your desire for a trivia game about games. Me and my brother sometimes get together to quiz each other on game trivia and tunes. There is a lot of fun stuff to recall.
You can find a lot of fan-made flash games about game trivia, but nothing of the sort has been commercially released yet.

For trivia games about video games, the closest I can think of is on Capcom Classics Collection 2 which has a special version of Quiz and Dragons with all Capcom questions.

This was the closest scene I could remember. Haha 5374 Except it only includes trivia about its own game.

retro game challenge for the Nintendo DS. You play as a kid who's playing classic games. You can even buy game magazines with codes and hints to the games. Its seriously a lot like what playing the NES as a 6-11 year old was like in the 80's. Its a good game and I recommend it. I'd try to explain the game in more detail but it may be easier to read some reviews, or see if there is a thread on here about it.

I've been playing a lot of Press Your Luck on Facebook and there are actually a lot of classic video game questions that come up.

The trouble with trivia is that there seems to be constant whinging over who has the story right. Wasn't someone just complaining about the difficulty of keeping the Wikipedia articles straight?

I believe, that digital press used to sell a deck of
cards that were full of video game trivia questions.

I don't remember if it was a game with rules
or just a deck and you had to make up your
own rules

i have a deck somewhere, i will try to dig it out.

I wonder if how many were sold or if they still have them......

I found the deck!

It's still sealed so i don't know if there are any rules inside.

Each card has several video game questions and answers.

you could attempt to buy one of these decks.............

I own a copy too. They're Trivial Pursuit-style cards, so you can either just read them out loud or use a Trivial Pursuit board to play. Obviously, since they were made a few years ago, they won't cover recent games, but it's still pretty good. Only thing: if you expect to play this with someone who has a limited knowledge of gaming history, it won't be very fun for them, as it goes well beyond the basic questions about Miyamoto, Bushnell etc. Still worth getting if you can get your hands on them.

It was called Game ON: The Retrogamer's Trivia Game and was a Digital Press/Sniderman project.

If you want to dig up a Tiger Quiz Whiz, there are two modules of interest: Computers & Games, and one that's all Nintendo.

Too bad these aren't compatible with the vintage Coleco Quiz Wiz units, since I have one...
