I brought out, what used to be, my Dad's Atari 2600. I have 4 joysticks and 2 paddle controllers. Several games. Original packaging and owner's manual. I believe every game has it's booklet.
It was great to bring back some memories of my childhood.
What did you do?

Atari's greatest games are the two player ones. Me and my boy have been playing a lot of Warring Worms and FallDown. My son asked me last week to play Warring Worms, fitting it was the 40th anniv.
I wore my favourite tee to work, everyone loved it:

How did I celebrate? I made a thread about its 40th, including a lengthy anecdote about my various experiences with the Atari 2600 and its games over the years. Please read it: it was a great nostalgic traipse down memory lane. 8-)

That's pretty sweet, treismac. Can you tell us more about the event? Who won?

Atari made all the in app purchases for the Greatest Hits app on iOS free for one day so I grabbed all 100 and filled my phone full of retro goodness... :)

I was out of state at the time, without internet access, so I wasn't aware. But that day I went into a Hobby Lobby store and a cute girl in her late 20s was wearing an Atari Fuji shirt., not the kind made popular years back, it was a more recent design. I found that weirdly sexy.

It's a Facebook competition and it's a rather lackluster event thus far, truth be told. :| You gotta at least try, right?
Competitors were supposed to post either pictures of scores on TV sets or screen captures from either the Google Chrome app or from Atari's website.

I looked at my Atari.
I knew about the occasion and I thought about pulling it down briefly, but never did.

I probably spent it playing around with my 'new' Atari 800 computer (http://www.oldcomputers.net/atari800.html). Came with the full 48KB of RAM, a pair of 810 disk drives, and an 835 modem (a WHOLE 300 baud!). Need to figure out why it experiences occasional interference issues, but other than that, it works nicely.

I remember seeing Nz17's thread about the anniversary, but then I forgot about it. :(
Although I didn't get to celebrate, it serves as a reminder that I still need to organize some of my Atari games. I suppose I can celebrate then!

I picked up the latest issue of Retro Gamer. This issue is a celebration of Atari's 40th!
