What do you use to clean your cartridge connectors? I use a ruler with an old shirt or some cloth wrapped around it, dabbed with alcohol. Works for me, do any of you use a better method?

Most of the time, I use alcohol on a little cleaning wand that I got years ago in a cleaning kit. I then use another dry wand to wipe away the excess.
For really dirty or corroded stuff, I use electrical contact cleaner that comes in an aerosol can.

I take out the PCB. Put a little toothpaste (extra whitening) on my fingers and rub using a decent amount of pressure on both sides of the connector pins. The toothpaste will turn a nasty black/gray color from the cleaning. I follow up by rinsing the connector pins under the sink using a toothbrush to brush it off. Then I take a cotton towel and buff the crap out of the pins.
Works every time - I've saved some very questionable carts using this method. I swear by it. And it's all stuff that you know is going to be in the bathroom no matter what.
For a quick cleaning I just use a Q'tip soaked in alcohol. Then I use the dry side to buff it out.

I also remove the PCB from the cartridge, I highly recommend Brasso Metal Polish for connectors, not a single game enters my collection until it's connectors are spotless. Rub it on with a Q-Tip, and rinse it off with window cleaner/alcohol, than dry it. It takes off everything, even those deep brown marks on NES/SNES cartridges. I never had a problem with it! :)

I use a white art eraser to clean contacts, followed by alcohol to clean off any residue. Works great.

Brasso is indispensable.

I've been meaning to try this Brasso stuff. I've been using Tarn-X for years, followed by a coat of rubbing alcohol, then a once-over with a paper towel to remove any residue left behind. Works wonders. :)

I use Sheila Shine, which is similar to Brasso.
Non-conducive stainless steel/metal polish.
Applied with "safety Q-tips" with the extra fat heads.
Great stuff, makes cartridge contacts shine with a brighter luster than when they came off the assembly line.
When I get my hands on a particularly grimy cart, that's my first line of defense and it has never disappointed.

I take the PCB out and use a pencil eraser most of the time.
