I don't have it yet but it was only 50 dollars, it was like new condition. and it is fufilled by Amazon. So my questions are how likely is this going to be legit becaue the game usually goes for over 100 dollars, and if it is for a copy of the actual game will it be a legit copy? and the Neo Geo Pocket Color is region free right?

Loose cart? If so, that seems about right as far as price goes.
Yes, the NGP is region lockout-free. No worries there.
If you want, take some nice high res photos when it shows up and I'll gladly do the same to my copy so we can compare.

I don't know if it is just loose cart. There was no description. The only thing I do know is its Fufilled by Amazon. and is marked Like New under condition. and Like New on Amazon means it comes with all packaging and stuff.

Actually, like new doesn't mean anything unless you contacted the seller and confirmed that it comes with everything. Third party sellers that fulfill through Amazon can basically sell whatever they want and include whatever they want. You can always complain and get a refund, but you're a fool if you just assumed you got a bargain and didn't bother to confirm with the seller what was included.

Well, I'm not concerned if i got a good deal or not. I'm just concerned if its going to be an actual copy of the game. This game is reason I got my Neo Geo Pocket Color.
I wouldnt mind if it is cart only, as long as its an actual copy of the game.

Yup, it's a Japanese only release, and one of the last games released for the system. Its Called Rockman Battle and Fighters. Its a port of both Rockman/Mega Man arcade games to the Neo Geo Pocket Color.

So you're worried that it's going to be an actual copy? Could it be a pirate? Very unlikely but there is a slight possibility.
Remember 'Fulfilled By Amazon' just means that the seller has sent their stock to Amazon and it ships from an Amazon warehouse, rather than from the business or personal address of the 3rd party seller.
Like with eBay, the best thing to do is contact a seller when you've got a question about the item.

I was just reading about Mega Man in an old issue of GameNOW and it was all about Rockman/Mega Man 15th ann. It showed the Neo Geo Pocket Color version.

I manage FBA shipments at work, and I can say that FBA "Like New" would likely require original retail packing. Amazon's condition system is pretty strict on that sort of thing, with "Acceptable" being the proper condition for anything incomplete. Of course, individual sellers never follow that, but I would assume that Amazon workers check the seller's stated condition against the actual item when they check it in to the warehouse. Then again, I did get an EU import copy of Skyrim when I bought an FBA listing on Amazon US, so their competency is questionable...
I'm excited to see what shape it's in when you get it.

The problem with this is many NGPC games were sold as new here in the States without any sort of actual retail packaging when they were trying to liquidate inventory (remember the old "buy a console and get 6 games free" blister packs?).

I'm assuming you don't work for Amazon. I have had good and bad experiences with FBA vendors. Now I ask for condition information before I order and if I don't get a response, I won't order. I have received bootlegs, the entirely wrong item and damaged/defective/refurbed/store return goods from FBA vendors described as "new" in the video game category in the past. While Amazon always makes it right, they don't do much to screen stuff when they receive it or send it back out.

In this case the game was never released in the States at all, but anyway it has shipped and it is dated to arrive on the 12. When it comes I'll update this thread with whatever happens.

I know, but Amazon may not know those specific details and just assume that it's another loose cart that was often sold as "new" without a retail package to speak of :(
Also, it would be entirely impossible for Amazon to police ALL instances of something being sold as "like new" when the item isn't at all in such a condition. I imagine taking care of customers after the fact, should there be an issue with the actual condition versus described condition, is likely to be something that they would be better suited for resolving.
Either way, I hope it arrives in the condition that you're anticipating. I would imagine loose cart, but legit. I can't recall ever seeing bootleg NGP games out there. Probably just not worth it for the Chinese knockoff factories to bother with.

Got it today, almost didn't get it today because the mail man forgot to put it in my mail box when he first passed my house. Turns out, not only was it a legit copy, it is also complete too. so I just scored a nice find.

A question about the game, Why does Roll wear blue? is it because of the color limitations of the system? In some shots she is wearing her normal red outfit, but like in Mega Man's ending she is wearing blue. It's weird.

Yeah, limitations of the system :/
Still, a pretty fun little time waster, eh?
edit: I'm guessing that she wears blue in that specific ending because MM is obviously blue, and changing her palette versus his seems like a no-brainer. I mean, which character is more important in Capcom's eyes? A red MM?! Don't let's be silly :P

Yeah, I like the game a lot. But then again I am a really big Mega Man fan and I have quite a lot of Mega Man games. What really surprised me was how faithful it is to the actual arcade titles in gameplay.

SNK is known for having some of the best fighters of all time. Even though this is a Capcom developed title, I gotta imagine that the NGP was really designed wit specs that are best suited for fighters. Most of the other fighters on the NGP are also pretty awesome and faithful to their arcade/console counterparts :)
I'm also a bit of a MM junkie. Who isn't? What a great franchise!

Only one thing really bothers me about the game, Is that since the screen scrolls it is possible for the boss to be off-screen, and some times the boss stops attacking you if he is off screen and just stands still. Other than it the game is awesome.
