Anyone reading/read this? It's a love letter to '80s culture, especially video games, set in a future world deprived of resources. People escape into an MMO-like world designed by a now dead designer who has hidden clues to his riches in the game via endless '80s references.
The best part? The book itself is a puzzle, and following the clues, you'll discover a new 2600 game based on the book that's running in a browser via Stella. People who solve the series of puzzles (the game is part 1) win a DeLorean.
Warner has apparently picked this one up for a movie due in 2014, but man, it would be a copyright nightmare.
