If you are on here all day, how do you have time to collect? Do you have jobs?

If you then collect in your free time, how do you have time to play the games? Or do they just sit there and collect dust?

Do you guys have wives, families, etc?

I'm here in the background while working. I do have a wife, two kids, and a real life... of course, I do a lot more discussing of games than I do playing them lately. Most of my game hunting is at a couple of places on my way home from work. I also get up early on saturday mornings and hit the local yard sale circuit. I'm working now based on the assumption that if I simply find the stuff now, when my kids get older and I have more free time, I'll be able to play them then at my leisure.

I don't have a lot of money, I'm a college student. I still live with my mom, but only because I'm too broke right now to move out. I spend definately more time here than I do out looking for games, and I wish I had more time to play allt hat I have, but I've got to get ready for the upcoming semester.

I feel no need to justify my posting/playing/free time habits with a person with only three posts.

Sounds snippy to me.

It doesn't explain when you game, or how you have that big game room with kids in the house! I have to keep all my game stuff locked up in the basement for that reason...

I usually visit/background at work during invoice searches or lulls in the phone action. I am currently in a game finding funk and cant find jack in the wild so I also am on tha Bay here at work.. I game as time allows, usually after hitting the thrifts/2nd hand stores/yard sales over the weekend..

I browse this (and other) sites during the work day, hit a couple local thrifts etc on my way home or on weekends, and maybe get in an hour of play at night after dinner/exercise/house stuff gets done.

I work for a video game company, I can play games MONTHS before they hit the shelves. Plus I can snipe eBay auctions from teh super-fast internet connection at work!

It seems like there couldn't possibly be time for all of this, but there is, particularly for people who work on a computer during the day. Here's my typical day:

6:30am: Start work. Open Internet. The forum is pretty much always on in the background pretty much every day. I pop in here several times an hour between calls and meetings.

12:00pm: Some lunch hours are used to hit local shops. I have Best Buy, Gamestop, EB, Circuit City, Blockbuster, KB and Toys R Us all within a 3 mile radius.

4:00pm: Homeward bound, usually in the door by 4:30.

4:30pm: GAME TIME

6:00pm: wife gets home. Chat, eat, TV time, etc.

8:00pm: GAME TIME

Weekends are an entirely different story. More hunting, gamer gathering/events, and game playing than an ordinary day.

There are a LOT of hours in the day. You just have to know how to manage them. One thing I DON'T do is watch TV. Except for the Sopranos on Sunday and late-night stuff before bedtime.

Now that's a man with no kids... LOL

That's kind of like my life, but substitute gaming with refereeing.

I have to do SOMETHING with the 5 hours a day that I should otherwise be spending watching television. (Holy moley, is that really how much the average U.S. citizen watches?)

I kind of had the same feeling. Like "what makes you losers such losers? Nerds."

I use my time at home to collect and net using - work time for a little eBay, Msgboarding. I work a standard 8 to 4:30 - pays well enough. I live at home for time being, so disposable income rules. When I move out, expect my collecting to come to a crawl...

... and my game playing to increase! My game time has been limited, but less cash = more time for all my damn games. I'm also single, so that also equals more cash and time.

Reading all of the new posts, replying, and looking over the site only takes 30 minutes a day max in my opinion. That DOES leave enough time for family, job, and gaming :)

Lets see, I am married and work two jobs(about 50 hours). I have about 2300 games in my collection(no dups). My free time is spent this way: about 15% of my time goes to EBAY(selling to make game money). Another 15% is spent orginizing my game room. 10% of my time playing games. 20% goes to flea marts and game hunting in the wild. 40% goes to spending quality time with my wife(the best of my free time). I have a decent amount of games and I dont play them all. I play a handful of the best.........................or at least the wierd.
