Hello All,

I accidently posted this elsewhere and another user was kind enough to point me here.

Like many of you I collect vintage gaming stuff and sadly finances are becoming a problem. In lieu of selling the games or systems themselves, I'm thinking about selling the original boxes of some of the consoles/accessories.

I understand its always better try to keep all the original materials, but like I said, times are tough and really don't want to sacrifice the games themselves. That said, I really have no frame of references as to what to ask.

These are the boxes:

Xbox 360 console box (still has Sam Goody price tag)
Xbox 360 HD DVD box
PS2 Slim Box (still has Sam Goody price tag)
Magnavox Odyssey 2
Atari Lynx
TI 44/A Home Computer
Wii Zapper
Game Boy Micro
SNES XBAND Modem
Street Fighter 15th anniversary Akuma controller -- PS2
Virtual Boy AC Adapter
Sony PSP (1st Gen)
3DO Controller
N64 Memory Card
SNES Controller
NES Zapper
NES Satelitee
Original Game Boy
Colecovision Atari Module
Genesis Model 3

Not much, the ones that have higher value (the gameboy) also have serial numbers on the box, many collectors won't knowingly buy sets with mismatched serial numbers. You'd be better off parting out entire sets, you would probably get more for a complete gameboy than you would for all of the boxes combined. We would be talking another matter if you had a Turbo CD box, one of those went for over $500 (just the box!)

That makes sense. Thanks for the advice.
