Does anybody have any info on this strange little thing? I have no friggin' clue what it is used for? It is a little black box about the size of a Genesis cart and it has three sections of tiny little switches on the back of it. On the back there is also a place to plug a Megadrive cart into it.

HELP :-D

Sounds like a convertor to me, but with a port for something on it.

looks like a region decoder, definitely 3rd party.

Edit, ok I looked for some info on it and dug up this document (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=Sega+Mega+Drive+Game+Decoder)

I am thinking about selling this little thing on ebay but I have no info on it really.

What should I give as a description and what should I be asking for it?

Thanks :) [/url]

Hmm, that's a strange one. Unlike the SNES, there's no need to piggy-back a cart in a converter to get round region-locked games on a MD/Genesis.
Perhaps it's also a Japanese Game Genie-style device? or has a Master System converter built in? Just guessing, mind.

It only cost me like $3. So whatever it might be it was cheap.
