So my local arcade got this game in recently. I was pretty surprised. I'll admit I never knew there was a Mega Man arcade out there in the world. It's a little short, but fun.

There are actually two Megaman arcade games, three if you count both versions of the first one.
Mega Man: The Power Battle (CPS1 hardware)<---the one you found
Mega Man: The Power Battle (CPS2 hardware)
Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters (CPS2 hardware)
I've never seen one in the wild, but I've messed around with them through emulators, and I'm surprised they've never been ported. They seem decent, and would be easy money for Capcom if they'd just release them on XBLA/PSN.

Actually, both arcade games are unlockable on Mega Man Anniversary Collection.

Though all the MegaMan games are now available in one system or another.

There's also a port to the Neo Geo Pocket Color: Rockman Battle & Fighters.
I played the first game many times on Kawaks; it's a swell little ten-minute diversion, and the music is pretty good too. I didn't like the second one as much.
Mega Man: The Power Battle (CPS1 hardware)<---the one you found
Mega Man: The Power Battle (CPS2 hardware)Is there any difference between these two?

Also wondering if there are differences between the two. Thanks for the info, I was excited/surprised to see Mega Man at the arcade when I walked in. I like the option of characters, between Mega Man, Proto Man or Bass. Also you can choose between games 1-3, 4-6 or 7 for what bosses you fight.

I would imagine the CPS2 version just has better audio(QSound) and sprite effects, but I really don't know.
