Looks like my first topic since I left on vacation about a month or so ago came at a good time, as it fits right into import madness.

I recently got a box from Japan (among other things) with the Cyberbots Limited Edition package (I think that the plastic wrap I tore off was the original packing...strange since it was held on by tape. In any case, I kept it. Can anybody confirm this, or can I throw it away?) The game comes with a hillarious book, and a "secret file" that's like those popout books from a few years back, with some battle scene or other. The main robot showcased here looks just like Akuma (Evil spirit, he's a Capcom fighter) and in fact the main book has a scene in one of the assorted comics throughout with him attacking his larger robot version.

Sengoku TURB was a different matter. Here's what I submitted to the GameTZ in my entry, word for word:

"You might need Japanese IME to see this text correctly.

The game's name comes out to "Sengoku TURB."

I have a sealed clear CD jewel case; no insert, nothing in the spine, so all this information comes from what I see printed on the CD itself. It apparently was published by NEC. My game cames with the marking "610-7103" in place of the catalog numbers I see on various Japanese resource pages; references are not likely easily found as it seems to be a special demo. It has a plain text "イ本験版" (as opposed to the stylized logo of the game) under the title which comes out in Babelfish to "Main 験 edition of イ" ...

Here are a few good sites concerning this game series:

(Worth a look as well)"

I also got a few other games in there. I recall buying Capcom Generation 2, but since I got a bunch of Not for sale games including Eternal Arcadia and Marvel vs. Capcom 2, I'm happy enough (for the time being, until I find out they're using the things as cheap roofing in Japan).

So is the demo disc a Duo demo? Or is it a demo Sengoku? I'm not quite clear on WHAT it's for but it sounded odd!

I've recently bought a copy of Sengoku Turb, but I've yet to really play it. An all too familiar story.

I'll take the bad on that one.
