A team of vets displaced after Zipper Interactive closed have reformed as Nobodinos (pronounced: nobody knows) and are currently seeking funds through Kickstarter. GI.biz (http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2012-08-28-zipper-interactive-vets-form-nobodinos) reports the studio launched shortly after Zipper shuttered (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/zipper-interactive/), and has been at work on Bottom Feeders, a casual multiplatform game.

"Eventually we may get back to the big console titles, but for now we are focused on creating some casual and mobile games," the studio told GI.biz.

Nobodinos is going to have to cast a wide net to reach its goal of $225,000 within a month. More details on their development hopes and caviar dreams can be found on their Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/russp7117/bottom-feederstm) page.http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif (http://www.joystiq.com)SOCOM vets form casual studio, seeking Kickstarter support (http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/28/socom-vets-form-casual-studio-seeking-kickstarter-support/) originally appeared on Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com) on Tue, 28 Aug 2012 20:00:00 EST. Read the Kickstarter and it kinda went like this.

"Hi guys! Remember us?

We are a couple of members from the team that gave you a great series of tactical shooter video games!

Please give us money to port our recent Facebook game to iOS and use its revolutionary touch interface to....catch fish!

We need 225k for our Facebook port that has absolutely nothing to do with what you know and loved us for!

...Please were begging you, we need money...

Oh and also a bunch of other guys from Moniloth products and Wizards of the Coast are here too...so...please..?

Oh and if you donate will give the VGM a single copy of every game produced under Zipper...with your name on a webpage!

But wait!

If you donate enough cash we will emblazon your name on a plaque commemorating the dead company that has nothing to do with the Kickstarter project were hawking!

Amazing right!

Donate now!!! ..please?"

Seriously I don't care that they are making a simple facebook/iOS game but trying to bank off of their previous success that's not even tangentially related to their current project seems slimey. Also unless I'm missing something like its the source code or something giving the Video Game Mesuem a copy of every game you've released is not really an accomplishment.
