I've been so busy lately that I haven't had much time to play my old friend (SNES). However, this lengthy 3-day weekend gave me some time to get some licks in (mainly Donkey Kong Country). Man, I'm reminded of how much I love this system, and how truly awesome it is. Even if I go through weeks of not touching this system, whenever I have free time and the urge strikes, there are so many quality titles to pick from, it simply blows your mind. Whether it's an old childhood favorite, a guilty pleasure, a classic, or a game you have never yet played, the SNES is #1 in my book.

Just love this system, and how, even after long stretches of not being able to play it, whenever there's a holiday or a free day, it delivers the goods every time.

Anyone else get some good play time in? If so, which system(s) and what game(s)?

Gosh I love 3 day holiday weekends. This one went by too fast...

Nothing classic but I blazed through a lot of Infinite Space, definately worth the pricetag for this DS RPG.

Wasen't really feeling it at first because it suffers from relatively dull RPS combat and a massive amount of "spaceish" names for various planets and sectors that makes it all rather run together. However the progression system is pretty fun with all of the various ship types and tetris-like loadout system to boost your stats. The storyline tends to pick up too and is a well done epic space opera so far. If anyone else is interested in it i would definitely recommend.

I also played Resistance 2 and its ok not great.

Its hard to describe but I felt that all the Resistance games have lacked something to make them truly memorable and so far R2 is confusing that trend. R3 was a fun game but its story and purpose seemed to fall apart near the end, kinda ruining the whole experience. It had fun weapons and an interesting world to explore but just missed "something". I think both PS3 shooter franchises suffer from this but with Killzone IMO its pretty easy to pin on writing on Resistance I don't quite know what it is. I feel the same way about R2 although surprisingly it seems pretty dated graphically, that being said its still a fun game and the COD-ness of this title vs. the others really don't get in the way as much as I thought. (mostly because despite having health packs and a weapon wheel they are all corridor shooters)

Of all things, I cracked out my N64 and watched my son Play Star Fox 64 and Pilot Wings 64. Actually, he just came in the room to ask to play some video games before he goes to sleep. :)

Considering here it was raining I had some time to play Phantasy Star IV on my Genny :) My first day of highschool starts tomorrow so I thought I better get in my gaming today. Of course after school each day I'll make time for my Retro Games :) I mean I'm on this forum every day so that alone shows my love for my classic games :D

I finally sat down and beat Lords of Thunder on the Turbo Duo for the first time. Realized later that using the earth armor made the game easier for me. Fantastic game with some good music.

Haven't really done much gaming in the last few days, aside from WoW and finally trying Dungeons of Dreadmore. But the days now out yet, might sit down with one of the various PS3 games I've yet to finish.

Other than some Pokemon FireRed on my micro trying to level up enough to deal with badge #2 (and they're not since the bitch used a super potion on her starmie) no. I was out doing stuff today and did that in the car ride south.

I wish. The long weekend in some way shape or form had booked my time.

Earth Armor is pretty easy. But i like fire and wind Armor too. I especially like wind Armor on auzal, probably because of all the bubbles on that stage.

Introduced my neighbors (21 yead old twins) to 16-bit beat em ups.

They went to ebay to hunt for Streets of Rage and Final Fight while still sitting there playing them :)

We had a friend over on Sunday night, with whom we played TNMT: Turtles in Time on the SNES, as well as Beatles Rock Band and Lego Rock Band on the 360. I also played Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers on the NES, Diablo III on the computer, and Skyrim on the 360.

Well, no video games were played this passed weekend, but I certainly managed some other (some might consider it classic) gaming. I held a 16 hour long board game tournament at my house on Saturday. :)

I decided to start a new racing game on the PS2. Looking through the titles I had yet to play, The Fast and the Furious was the most appealing. I have to say that it's one of the better racing games on the system.

Finished up Dark Sector and the bullshit last boss. Then got a good start on Area 51 for the Xbox. Didn't do anything else memorable but if I don't have to go anywhere for 3 days straight and the wife doesn't care if I play a game for 7 hours straight while drinking beer, then it's time well spent.

I played a lot of Final Fantasy 13 and some Minecraft.

What is the actual point of labour day?

I helped Mom's husband get his PS3 online so that I could download The Walking Dead for him. He loves zombies, and I love that game. Downloading and installing games on a PS3 is kind of a pain in the ass if you've never done it before.

I bought and mostly played through Transformers Fall of Cybertron on 360 last weekend. I finished it this week and then wondered why I didn't just rent the thing. I also picked up Rage on PC or $10 and have been playing it since last weekend. Both games are reminding me how much I really don't care for shooters these days.

I actually started a contest with my step mom this past week in DKC, were trying to see who can get to 100% first.

I was going through Final Fantasy III till it erased all my saves! So i just switched over to Chrono Trigger :D
