I have been wondering since pinballs were a huge part of arcades, do you think there should be an pinball subforum under Arcade Alley on DP? Please vote and discuss.

 It's not like Arcade Alley really buzzes with activity, having a subforum of a subforum makes no sense. If you want to talk pinball, just make a thread... and put in your earplugs, put on your eyeshades, you know where to put the cork.

Haha trust me I know. My Dad is the biggest Pinball fanatic I know (surprisingly I know quite a few) and he introduced me to such things when I was at a very young age. He's actually created a Pinball cabinet that hosts two TVs, one for the play field and one for the back glass and he uses the software Hyperpin in it and has about 200 machines programmed to run on it. If he dosent mind me showing others, I can post pics of it. It is the best way to play other than e real machines IMO.

I just got bitten by the pinball bug. I have always enjoyed pinball, but lately I have been having a blast with my first pinball machine purchase. I picked up a machine "Fun Park". It was in average condition. After some love and slowly learning how to tune up the machine, I have a good playing pinball machine. Nothing is better than a tuned pinball. Nothing sucks more than a poorly tuned pinball.

I really like the add-a-ball feature. It makes more sense than winning a free game, since I already own the machine and getting a free play isnt a big deal.

I have two other machines I picked up. First up is a game called Paddock. It is a horse racing themed game and I love the rule-set. It is another add-a-ball game, making it a fairly deep pinball. I got it all working and playing, now I just need to play it and tune it up some. The leveling seems off and I need to get the level correct. I do want to switch out a chime for a bell. The chime in it now sounds very weak and dull. I would love to put a small bell in there to give it a better sounding chime.

The other machine I picked up needs some scoring work. Some of the scoring doesnt record but everything works. It is an extremely clean game with unbelievable playfield, backglass, side art, all being very clean. If I can get the scoring fixed, this will be a great machine since it looks almost new. I havent play it yet, but like the others, it scored good on http://www.ipdb.org .

I used to love the free game feature. In college I would go to the game room all the time and check each machine and there would usually be a free game there waiting for me. Since a lot of people don't really seem to fully understand what's going on in a pinball game these days, they never even realized they had won a free game. But yeah, I can see how that wouldn't matter much if you own the machine.

I'm pretty obsessed with pinball. I'm super into both Elvira machines and the Adams Family one as well. And High Speed is always a cassic
