Hello!
I've had recently discovered this "HiSMS" emulator (despite it was released back in 2009) - and I'm in love with it because it lets you to create high-definition hacks of Sega Master System games.
Right now I'm modifying "Alex Kidd in Miracle World". All graphics are now 4 times bigger. I'm attaching two videos taken from this enhanced emulator. Hope you like it:

Now I want to know of there's an emulator for the NES that has the same purpose ;n;

SMB3HD would be amazing

I assume this overcomes the sprite limit as well, eliminating flicker.

Thank you very much my friends! =)
Hopefully I'll be able to show stage 2 in a few weeks.

I'm not sure but I guess it really overcomes Master System sprite limits (Alex Kidd is a very simple game so I never noticed flickering on it).

TimTendo: An early version of MyNES emulator supported hi-res hacks - but it was insanely hard to change graphics.
I would go nuts with *EASY* high-res tools for other systems (like Atari 2600, NES and MSX) but they don't exist right now.
Help me to spread the word about this Alex Kidd project and maybe creators of other emulators gets interested on this high-res thing. :)

This is extremely cool and very well thought out. I applaud your efforts and look forward to seeing the final product!

I'm actually in the process of relaunching SegaMasterSystem.com. The site is mostly video based, and I'd love to do some type of news video on you and your project. Maybe include an interview, game visuals etc. Might create some exposure for you!

Keep up the fantastic work!

This makes me wonder what Sonic Blast would look like after the treatment. Or something that scrolls forward like Space Harrier.

That's pretty awesome.

Somebody needs to do an HD update of Action Fighter via this system!

Sure! Contact me whenever you want.
That art on SegaMasterSystem.com is amazing by the way! :)

Sonic Blast is one of the incompatible games with HiSMS. Many Brazilian titles doesn't work on this emulator. =(

I assume Space Harrier to look similar to the 32x port of it. I would certainly want to see one of my favorite games be upgraded like that though!

It has some sort of 80's anime feel to it! I love it!

Dare I make a comment without using the word "amazing"? I think not.

How far away is the finished product from being released?
