As for myself, I prefer the Twilight Princess style over the Skyward Sword style.

How do you feel about this?

Also, lets have some artwork and cg images of what we think WiiU Zelda should look like.

Bladerunner meets Lord of the Rings

I'd really rather not have Legend of Skyrim personally.

Less shaders is More is what I am saying here.

You'll be too busy looking down at your inventory on the controller screen to notice.

I think this is my favorite image, it's from the tech-demo shown last year:

They should go back to the Wind Waker style... imagine that in widescreen and HD... *drool*

Definitely "A Link to the Past" style. You can't beat that 2D goodness.

I'd probably buy Wind Waker HD

Something similar to the tech demo or Twilight Princess.

Well, Wind Waker is cel-shaded. Twilight Princess is sort of dark and twisted. Skyward Sword uses impressionism in its environments, with bright colors. I'd prefer something neutral, more like Ocarina of Time or the early Twilight Princess.

I always disliked how they changed Twilight Princess to something darker. It was almost as if the whole game was a pander to the people who complained about Wind Waker being "kiddy".

I'm not going to bash Skyward Sword because it was an outstanding game but I really missed the huge open overworld in Twilight Princess.

I really hope WiiU Zelda brings that back. I know TP often gets criticized for having a boring lifeless overworld, and I can see why people say those things, but I think that was a limitation of the Gamecube hardware. The Wii version couldn't take advantage of the extra RAM but those issues won't exist with Wii U since its got 1 gig dedicated for games. I cannot wait to see what the big N can do with fairly modern hardware.

If the graphics don't look atleast as good as this, might as well call the Wii U, Gamecube 1.75.

BetaWolf47, I'm glad you brought that up.

As much as I enjoy TP (and still do), I was dismayed that the big N changed the game so much in the 2 and 1/2 years from the first trailer until release.

I liked the Twilight Princess open overworld, but it was so empty. There were huge swaths of territory, beautifully rendered, that had nothing to do and nothing to discover.

In Ocarina, you couldn't walk 3 feet without finding some rock you blew up for a secret cave or some bullshit. This is how a Zelda overworld should be, it should entice you to re-tread every square meter each time you get a new item because there's tons of new stuff to access that you couldn't get to before.

^I'll never forget E3 2004 when Nintendo revealed the Zelda game that would later be known as Twilight Princess.

It was absolutely EPIC.
