Thre was a similar thread in the other, ill equipped (and by ill equipped I mean it had a small penis) board. Come to think of it, there are several threads in this forum that should be revived. Here's my contribution:

I just realized today that I could in theory arrive as early as Tuesday in Vegas. I probably won't, simply because I've only reserved a room for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but then again I might stay in a fleabag hotel for a couple days and waste all my money at el casino.

Who else is arriving early? And even if you're not arriving early, when ARE you arriving?

You know, I picture each of the forums as kind of being like a room, and I had this great mental picture of someone coming into the CGE forum and seeing me passed out in the middle of the floor, with no one else around.

Let's see, check my itinerary...OK, me and my wife will be arriving in Vegas around noon on Friday. After arriving at The Plaza (where we'll be staying) we're gonna tour to Old Strip and the Fremont Street area. (She's never been to Classic-Ratpack-Vegas before.) I'll still meet everyone at McDonalds that evening. We should "sticky" a meeting time in this forum when one is agreed upon.

I probably won't be socializing outside of the CGE floor too often, as Chris (my wife) really has little interest in classic video games. (Though she's got a pass so she can play the classic arcade games. She's looking ofrward to that.) Outside of the floor, she and I will be doing the Vegas thing "proper."

Keep me informed of room parties and I'll do my best to pop in and say "Hey."

BTW, I'lll be driving to Vegas, so depending on how well I "click" with board members in person, if you need a ride, I'm sure I can accomodate you. Who is going to have a vehicle when the arrive in Vegas? Who isn't? This is very important if sights are going to be seen...

I'm in the Plaza from Wednesday before CGEXPO for an entire week, as i'm crossing the Atlantic thought I may as well have a decent stint in Nevada :D

Although I am concerned by the lack of talk for drunken sessions before the friday night one!! Reckon we should just spot each other in the Plaza by our Geeky T-Shirts and get a proper drinking session going :mad:

What do you reckon Mayhem, compound the jet lag effect with alcohol...it's a real freaky feeling combined with sleep deprevation. Which I did alot of on my travels through Eastern Europe :shock:

Well Devin, most of the folks in the States are getting into Vegas on Friday rather than earlier in the week - making a "long weekend" of it rather than a week-long vacation cultimating in the CGE. You might be hard-pressed to find many folks arriving in town before Friday.

For me though, the last thing I need is to be hanging around Vegas with a ton of $$$ for a week before CGE. I'd be broke by the time CGE rolled around!

Well, that's what this thread is mainly for, snidey :) I might be there early, but I just got a ticket thanks to our states new zero tolerance seatbelt law. An 86 dollar fine, and now they can pull you over JUST FOR NOT WEARING A SEAT BELT. There goes dinner and one night at the plaza :(

oh no!! I bought my DP guide via Paypal months ago, thinking that it would be mailed to me or something! I'm beginning to see that it's just going to be held for me in Vegas! Doh! I can't make it, on account of eating dog food for lack of money and driving skills at the moment...is there any chance that I could have my guide mailed to me? I know, I know, I suck.
