Your top SNES games?

Been trying to get into some different SNES games lately, and don't really have the time to look through all these huge lists I've found here and there. What are your top three favorite SNES games? Favorite multiplayer SNES games?

1) Secret of Mana
2) Mega Man X3
3) Super Mario All-Stars

Really looking for more co-op games (hence why Secret of Mana is such a favorite). Just throw any names out there you want and why they're good.

Starfox - Cutting edge (for back then anyway) 3D flight simulator chock full of challenges and cartoonish characters. Add the in-game dialogue, and this game is a must own title on SNES.

Michael Jordan Chaos in the Windy City - Awesome platformer that has nothing to do with basketball and lots of fun twists and turns.The different weapons (balls) that MJ can use to defeat enemies and fetch items keeps this one interesting.

Donkey Kong Country - Wow. Who knew a platformer could be this good? If you have not played this game, you are sorely missing out on some serious fun.

DKC3 is not complete shit. It is just as good as the first two. The GBA remake doesn't feel right though because they changed the music. I got to play DKC3 before I played the others. I actually played the series backwards.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'm going to have to stop avoiding beat em ups and try TMNT IV: Turtles in Time.

What about good RPGs (besides Chrono Trigger)? Are there any other multiplayer RPGs besides Secret of Mana? Anyone here played Seiken Densetsu 3? If you can't tell by now, I'm really a fan of the Mana series.

Yeah I finished it, it's awesome and challenging. That and Tales of Phantasia are some of the hardest RPGs I've played that also were quite impressive; their sounds, visuals, characters, everything. :)

DKC 3 is awful, and like Donkey Kong 3 just shits all over the good name of the series.

DKC3 is nothing like DK3. DK3 was a huge departure for the series, nothing like the previous games. That's why people don't like it. As for DKC3, if people don't like the DKC games in general, then it makes sense to dislike DKC3, but I've never understood how someone can love DKC2 and hate DKC3 when, in terms of how they play, they're almost EXACTLY the same. The only things that can be complained about between DKC3 and DKC2 are minor cosmetic differences, like how DKC3 has worse music, a more cartoon-y visual style, and Kiddy Kong sucks as a character (but in terms of how he plays, he's basically just Donkey Kong).

Anyway, I don't know if I can come up with three favorites that I'm certain I like more than any other SNES games, but here are three that definitely in my top 5 or so:

Chrono Trigger
Donkey Kong Country 2

I've never been that big on the SNES as a multiplayer machine (didn't really have anybody to play SNES with as a kid, and in later years I was more inclined to do 4-player multiplayer on N64 or GameCube), but here are some ones I've enjoyed with a friend at times:

My top 3....thats a hard one...but i can definilty say Mortal Kombat 2 is my absolute most favorite fighting game on the system....i still think it's amazing how close the visuals, gameplay, and music is to the original arcade version......followed by Donkey Kong Country 2 and Earthworm Jim

I think I'd have to give it to F-Zero. F-Zero was such an amazing game at the launch of that system. We'd never have Wipeout, or other futurisic racers without F-Zero. Plus, the music is just incredible. Gameplay is very tight.

From what I remembered, Super Buster Bros. was only 1 player on SFC/SNES.... Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the superior Turbo-CD version of Buster Bros was the only home version that was released with 2-player gameplay. At least until the PSX collections came about.
