Kind of an odd question: can you use a Japanese GBA player with a U.S. GameCube and U.S. load disc? Can anyone verify one way or the other?
I can't verify as I lack the Japanese hardware. Yet as the GameCube hardware/controller/accessories are "universal," I believe that you can mix hardware from different regions without problem even with the region-free GBA Player. The only thing that must be locked to your region is the boot disc, and you say you have a matching American disc, so it should be good to go.
