Allright, I've got a bit of a problem right now. I've got two copies of shinobi 3 for genesis, both just the cart. One copy works flawlessly and is a little cleaner on the label, but it has a noticably loose PCB. As in, it rattles, and if you push up on the board inside the cart without opening it you can physically see it moving up. The other copy is a little dirtier on the outside (but nothing that actually harms the picture, just standard aging damage and lack of shininess) and works around 75% boot-25% fail after cleaning. Since I don't need two copies, one's gotta go.
So, this brings me to the question of the topic: assuming I'll have a gamebit by the time either cart becomes completely unplayable for some reason, which is going to be an easier fix and worth keeping? Does the loose PCB indicate a lack of plastic board holders inside the cart or is it just a simple tightening fix? Is the already-finicky cart doomed to stop working with use?
In other words, which one should I keep? Thanks.
