I recently acquired an old laptop that has a 2 color (green/white) CGA LCD screen and I was looking for some games that would run in its high resolution mode with two colors. The only games I could find that ran in DOS High resolution CGA mode were:
Psion Chess (1985)
Hidden Agenda (1988)
Death Track (1989)
Simcity (1990)
Doom (1993)

Doom? Really? I remember when I had a CGA/Herc card in my first IBM clone, an 8088, a boddy of mine would tease me with Wolfenstein 3D. He'd point at the "256 color only" screen that pops up and giggle. The jerk.
"Reach for the Stars:The Conquest of the Galaxy", made in 1988, could run in a ton of different modes.
From the top of my head I remember the following supporting a lot of modes (so you may get lucky with them):
Commander Keen 4
Golden Axe
You can also try browsing these CGA DOS games (a lot of them should be OK):

Doom (1993)No wai! There are videos on Youtube, yes, but I'm pretty sure those are intended as simulations run through video filters.
Commander Keen 4-6 were all four colors in CGA, if memory serves.
I seem to recall that Geoworks would run in two colors at high-res.

Okay, you're right. I didn't actually test Doom out, but I saw it on youtube so I assumed. I did test Hidden Agenda and Psion Chess, which run natively in the CGA 640x200x2 mode and they look great.
Some CGA low resolution 4 color games look okay on the monochrome screen and some don't. I tried Leisure Suit Larry 1 (the original) and the graphics were incomprehensible.
Geoworks/GEOS is actually the GUI contained in ROM on the laptop and it also looks great.
Pretty sure Space War ran in that mode.
I think Jet did too.

I'm also curious about this. I have a Tandy 1400 LT sitting at home, and I'd love to get some games to run on it. Any ideas, anyone?
