Hey, I'm the developer of some retro styled games for mobile devices (android coming soon hopefully). I've released one game so far, and have a new one coming out tomorrow. . . if apple approves it in time. I know people are sometimes hesitant about onscreen controls, but I think I've nailed them pretty well. The game I've released is called Clash Force, and it's a callback to 8-bit shooters like Megaman and Contra. That one is here (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/clash-force/id509945872?mt=8)

My upcoming game is a platformer called Polyroll. The inspirations will be pretty obvious from the video :)

I see you've put the buttons a little closer together for the new game. Good call.

The buttons in Clash Force are actually adjustable.

Both games look good. I think Polyroll looks better.

Both of them look surprisingly fun. Considering iCade support?

iCade is a possibility down the line, unfortunately the market for it is pretty minimal. That, coupled with lack of sales, and lack of funds on my part, means it's not happening right away.

For anyone interested, Polyroll was finally approved by Apple and is now on itunes!

I was considering buying your games, was holding out to see when Polyroll showed up. It seems like a nicer version of Sonic in a way from the screen caps. I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask about iCade. More are getting out there since they have the teeny versions for a good bit less cash so that's why I asked. I lucked into the full cab original one in red on the sides months ago at the flea for $10 so I couldn't leave it and use it when I can.

Doesn't Apple's new dock connector break compatibility with iCade anyway, or does it use bluetooth?

It's Bluetooth.
