How is this mysterious? There's already a game called Sonic Jump and it came out like five years ago.

I guess this is just a remix of the original brought up to current standards. Seems like it would be right at home on a iOS device.

It would have been nice if Sega actually provided something beyond that promo graphic, but maybe that's what they were going for!
