Hey guys, I'm not sure where to post this, but I want to share a PC game I programmed when I was in middle school.
I always thought it would be cool to have Mega Man in Mario's world, so when I was just a 12-13 year old kid, I tinkered with a program called Game Maker.
What resulted were several games, I started out crappy, but improved a lot as I kept trying! This is one of my better games!

Super Megaman World!
It was posted online nearly 9 years ago by myself, and within a year, it had spread to a TON of websites, all by its self! I was proud of myself as a 15 year old.
It had tens of thousands of downloads on this site (below) alone, and I can only imagine the grand total. Again, as a 14-15 year old, it was awesome!
Looking back, there are a lot of things I should have improved, but give me a break, I was in middle school! :)

I hope you guys enjoy it, and I hope I picked the right place to post it!

Download Here! (http://www.caiman.us/scripts/fw/f1744.html)

Nice work, Schiggidyd!

That was fun. I'll have to play it more to find out if Megaman makes it back!

Playing it got me thinking about when I started with programing in high school. Unfortunately, (or maybe fortunately?) all I had to work with was Qbasic.

Good game sir thank you for sharing:)

Thanks to both of you! By the way, nice Mega/Super Turrican pic! One of the best games.

If I could go back in time, I would easily add charge shots, better physics, fix some graphical issues, stuff like that!

Have you seen any of the Mushroom Kingdom Fusion videos? I'm never quite sure what's going on with the development of that game, and I can't really find something particularly exemplary, but there's this one:

Your are welcome. I love mega turrican and found the picture as one of the preset avatars on the site so i had to use it:). As for your game you can always go back and make the improvements you want too.

I can't =/ I no longer have the editable file, it's a standalone. Lost the editable many years ago! When I was young, I thought it was great!

Jorpho: Holy cow! That looks fun! Is it a real game? Where can I get it?

It's real enough, I think. I've never actually tried it myself, but it's been in development for a long, long time. I think it might have a bad case of perpetual feature creep, given the variety of videos that have turned up for it over the years. Looks like http://fusionfangaming.spriters-resource.com/index.php?board=1.0 is the official download page.

For a more complete product, you may want to seek out Super Mario Bros. X, but it's even harder to find the definitive final version of that one since Nintendo eventually stepped in and squashed it.

And of course there's Super Mario Bros Crossover (http://www.explodingrabbit.com/games/super-mario-bros-crossover), the famous Flash-based game.
